The Fifth Voyage is a refreshing and easy drinking porter meant to be drank in any season. Fresh coconut and chocolate flavors immediately standout, but rich roasted malt quickly takes over for a flavorful finish.

this is a great beer. Like porters themselves, though, a bit heavy and this one is quite sweet. Its harder for me to sit down and drink more than 2, but that is one way to pace yourself with something that is so easy to enjoy.

Black with a strong but fast-disappearing head. Chocolate malt nose with a hint of the coconut. Light-medium body with a little chalkiness.

Fairly decent porter with some nice chocolate and vanilla notes but I was disappointed by the lack of coconut depth or complexity. Pours a very deep, dark rich brown with barely any lingering tan head or lacing. Smells of medium roast coffee, milk chocolate and a little malt. Tastes predominantly of some weaker toasted coconut but the more faint background notes of chocolate, coffee, malt, caramel, vanilla and even a little brown sugar are in there. Just wish they were more forward and present. Smooth, surprisingly thin mouthfeel without any coating of the palate. Decent carbonation.

Pours black. Thin, foamy, tan head fades immediately to a ring.
Smells coconut and light amount of the following roast malt, coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Metal hint that i get from all crankers must be the yeast or equipment.
Tastes sweet roasted coconut, light toasted malt and light chocolate. Followed by light coffee and vanilla hints. Finish is dry with a light earthy bitterness. Lighter medium body and creamy lower carbonation.

Single from Meijer for $1.59. Love Crankers and love me a coconut porter.
Look - Deep cola black with a thing brown ring that dies into nothingness.
Smell - The coconut is there but jt isn't quite as prevelent as I was hoping. Otherwise all the usual low ABV porter suspects.
Taste - Weakly toasted coconut shells with a slight chocolate aspect. Touch of toffee as well.
Feel - Flavors all remain much the same but the overall body is rather thin with a low carbonation.
Overall - I love coconut porters. But unfortunately this one is not a winner in terms of the flavored style. The taste was rather mild and the body weak but there was nothing offensive about this brew and I could surely have another or ten. Expect more from Crankers to be honest.

Pretty decent stout . It doesn't have much smell but the taste is much fuller luckily.. Taste is roasted and light chocolate going down then the coconut hits you after .
Balanced and drinkable for sure.

First beer I've had from this brewery. This is a bigtime coconut porter. Big on the coconut, with smooth rich chocolate flavor. Solid, rich and easy drinking. I'd drink this one again without a doubt. Not a huge, creamy mouthfeel like my favorites but this is nice. Real nice.
