I and a friend checked this place out in the late summer after hearing some good vibes within the grape vine.
Atmosphere was decent. Everything seemed new, clean, and inviting. Very layed back and comfortable I was their mid-afternoon on a Tueday.
The staff were all very friendly and provided good speedy service. Even got to talk to the owner for a bit who was on premis.
The selection is a weird department at this bar. For some reason their liquor license is all screwy which seems to stem from city government.
They have an excellent carry out selection only. All the top notch craft brews are represented in a line of fridges/shelves at the entrance. The only problem is you cannot buy and cosume any of these offerings on premise. This relegates you to their draft selection only which while not bad, is far less than the carry out selection.
This is an up and coming craft beer bar. If they can figure out the license problem and get to where they can serve whatever they want on premise it will easily be a 4.5-5 bar.

Well, it's not hard to guess that this place is in Alphabet City, a neighborhood of Manhattan that isn't easily accessible. This touched-up, modernized, industrial looking big space is a great hangout. To-go beer fridges line both sides of the place when you walk in. The less than 10 seat bar is next staffed with the friendliest bartenders in Manhattan. The selection when I went was awesome and even more awesome were the prices. If you need some nosh, they serve artisan soft pretzels, cheese & charcuterie boards, and some savory paninis. As you head towards the back, there is a large communal table and comfy seating fills the rest of the space. You cannot buy a bottle from the to-go fridge and drink it on premise. They fill growlers, which are reasonably priced of course.
