Its a good find in Wrigleyville especially considering its only a block from the Field. The place was packed as it was a game day pending a rain out. It seemed the only tables left were for 6 people and a few spots at the bar. I managed to grab a spot at the bar with my friend. It was quite festive and everyone was anxious for the game.
The service was good especially for the bartenders dealing with everyone. The staff was attentive to everyone. However when it came to filling a glass of Bourbon Country Stout, it was another story. Unfortunately the tap handle fell forward after the bartender filled the glass and I watched as 3 glasses worth of BCS fell into the drain. Finally I got a hold of the bartender and he just shrugged it off as normal and just knocked it back off. Well aside from that event all else was good.
I had a burger and it was great and at $10 in Wrigleyville it was a venerable bargain. Okay so the fresh cut fries and BBQ sauce greatly contributed. I had a Pere Jacques($8) and the house Porter($5)
Also as a note this place is pretty family friendly. My friend who was underage did sit with me at the bar and the bartenders we okay with that. Of course they went not drinking and sported a sharpie X on their hand. and it was during the day, but many places are not as a accommodating.
A good place to go on game day.
