Poured from a 473ml can.
A pretty good Oatmeal stout, lots of toffee and coffee notes.
Just a bit thin on the mouthfeel but still a good one.

Unlike a lot of low-ABV stouts, this one didn't feel watery or insubstantial. Great mouthfeel, good flavour. Tastes like roasted malt, tiny bit of saltiness on the finish. A good offering overall.

Dark, with a couple millimetres of head. No light passing through. Chocolatey aroma. Bitter roasted malts, slightly tangy finish. Feel is lighter and crisper than I'd expect.

A: Dark, brown head.
S: Caramel, hints of espresso.
T: Great potential that’s never quite met.
M: Light and crisp for a stout.
O: Certainly a beer that’s worth trying out. Pretty cut and dry, but tasty.

650ml- 30 IBU - 5.5% - serving temp: 8C
A: opaque black; brown moka head
S: root beer, moka coffee, cola, cedar, bright, appealing
T: rich and broad but not that complex; balanced, long finish with a slight "tang" on the finish. Nice but I just want more.
M: full bodied
O: A very likeable beer ... But I want it to just be taken up a notch in taste.

Townsite Brewing's 'Perfect Storm' Oatmeal Stout @ 5.5% , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $6.50
A-pour is a dark cola brown from the bottle to near black in the glass with a medium size tan head lwhich is eaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-weak smell of oat's , hint of cocoa
T-smooth & creamy , so similar to a 'RIS' at times , just no big swallow
MF-ok/decent carbonation , medium body
Ov-ok/good beer , decent oatmeal stout

650ml bottle.
Appearance- Pours a dark chocolate brown with a finger of frothy mocha head.
Smell- roasted malts, cocoa, coffee bean, hint of dark fruits.
Taste- Roasted malts, cocoa, coffee bean, and hint of dark fruit. The roasted malts and cocoa are the predominant flavours followed by the bitterness of the coffee bean at the end.
Mouthfeel- Medium to full bodied with light to moderate carbonation.
Overall- A good example of an oatmeal stout with traditional flavours and aromas. Nothing outside of the box but still a solid and tasty offering.

650ml bomber poured into tulip 2/6/13
A nearing black with deep cola edge, large mocha foam quickly falls to a thin film leaving lots of unorganized lace
S chocolate, coffee, earthy notes, hot caramel, a little wood and licorice, some sweetness works well and maybe a little chocolate covered cherry
T mimics the nose quite well, the dark roast stops short of char but its fairly rich and quite tasty, nice mix of roast and sweetness, not too intense but flavorful for sure
M medium bodied with soft carbonation almost creamy, not as sticky on the lips as I would've guessed coco and coffee lingers on the finish
O straight up good example of the style, nice dark roast notes with some oatmeal sweetness even though I only see barley on the label
I rather liked this one, easy to drink and plenty of flavor, by far the best brew I've had from these guys

650ml bottle. Today was rather thundering and blustery here in E-town, and if not the perfect storm, still worthy of inspiring the desire for a nice stout tonight.
This beer pours a solid black abyss, with the slightest of basal cola highlights, and two fingers of densely puffy, almost caked tan head, which leaves some painted sea-froth lace around the glass as it lazily ebbs away.
It smells of powdery medium dark chocolate, mildly roasted caramel/toffee malt, cafe au lait, soft anise notes, edgy black fruit, cola syrup, and earthy, leafy hops. The taste is gritty medium baker's cocoa, sponge toffee, coffee with two creams, soft, chewy black licorice, and more earthy, mildly fruity hops.
The carbonation is rather reserved and low-key in its support, the body a decent medium weight, and quite smooth, with an aspirational creaminess. It finishes on the sweet cocoa and doughy side, a mashed cereal-like graininess piling on.
A pleasant enough oatmeal stout - the trick here being how they got that particular grain's assets without actually employing it in the ingredient bill. Anyways, tasty, if a bit weirdly simple, and more akin to the eye of a storm, if we're going to beat this metaphor to death.
