Pours a clear, golden/copper color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of hops, slight sweet malt, and pale malt. Fits the style of an English Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of hops, hint of pine, slight sweet malt, pale malt, hint of yeast, and a hint of grass. Overall, as with the Brown, a muted aroma, but decent body and blend.

A: This poured a clear dark gold with almost no head.
S: It smelled like earthy copper and sweet peach, with some orange.
T: It tasted like copper and orange and peach, with some barley. It had a fairly clean and bitter aftertaste.
M: It was watery with moderate carbonation. Ok body.
D: This was a typical small batch pale ale. The peach character was a little unique, but otherwise this was fairly unimpressive. It was easy enough to drink, but not worth getting outside of the Biltmore estate.

Draught into nonic

Two finger fast fading head

straw gold in body, moderate carbonation.

Smells: bread, lemon, and barley

Taste: lemons, bread, light hop

Mouthfeel: fine

Overall, this is a beer that is good, yet boring. I'm going to try the brown ale. I hear it is better. Furthermore, I think that this brewery will be better off once they have their own on-site facility.

$5.00 pint at Cedric’s Tavern at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

Appearance: Faintly hazed, copper-gold body with a sustained coating of near white foam.

Smell: Aroma of pale malts yielding a basic, bready barley character along with hop hints of florals and seed-popping lemon wedges.

Taste: Simple taste of pale malts accented with sweetish traces of honey and a light, underlying breadiness. Hint of fruitiness. Touch of dried lemon peel and some soft florals preclude a medium-light bitterness, though it’s sufficient enough to balance the initial sweetness and pave the way for a dry finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: A competent, food-friendly pale ale, though I admit to only pairing it with the lone pint of Cedric’s Brown I had prior.

On tap at Cedric's Tavern on the Biltmore grounds

A - copper with a soft white head that has good retention

S - very faint aroma, a hint of citrus

T - faint bread, faint citrus

M - medium bodied, smooth, a bit crisp

This is a refreshing beer. It doesn't have great flavor but it's highly drinkable. It's unoffensive and to style though a bit less malty than you may expect. I stopped in on an extremely hot day in May so this was a welcomed, quaffable refreshment.
