Light cloudiness in this amber-orange beer. The foamy white head turns rocky after a minute. The head drops from half an inch, leaving loose, sticky lace coating the sides of a PBGC tulip glass.
Fruity yeast is quite pleasant and brings out the aroma of fresh pumpkin. Spiciness is bright against sour dough and floral notes.
This is a fruity Saison that is more sweet than bitter. It contains lots of spice such as coriander and a little bit of pepper. The yeast really comes forward. It has a long finish with unfortunately strong astringency late in the finish.
The light body has a silky texture. Alcohol is as expected. Carbonation is light and fizzy.
Aside from the astringency found in the finish, this is a great beer and well worth a detour off Route 81.
