One of my favorites from Kirin which has been taken off the shelves. Bastards...!

Appearance - Nice golden brown color with a thick frothy head.

Smell - Very grainy with a lot of malt aroma.

Taste - Mmmmm at first it's bitter and then it's meaty and the finish is the hop.

Mouthfeel - Creamy and delightful.

Drinkability - I can drink this all day.

Recommended if you can find it! (386 characters)

Clear dark yellow body with a small white head. Full bodied malt aroma, with some fruit and flora/grassy notes. Quite sweet, but also dry, with a nice leafiness, reminiscent of a pils. Pleasant bitterness. Medium body and carbonation... quite refreshing taste. Not bad for a macro beer. (286 characters)

Kirin Brau Meister,
can, brought over from Japan, one side all in Japanese, except for the English words: Kirin Premium Beer", with German in and around the logo, and with some phrases in German on the other side. I can read neither language, so have no idea what I'm in for...but I bet it's gonna be a German style lager, of some sort...

Clear, faded yellow, gigantic, bubbly white head, slowly drifting down...

Lightly sweet aroma, then dry, revealing not much of anything...just beer-y, but not unpleasant, either...

Sweet up front in the flavor, then dry right off... little hops, moderate malt, very clean, ...no, wait, here come some hops...crisp, perfectly drinkable, light bodied,...little bit of grainy texture...this is one that grows one you, flavors flower a bit once on the palate...

Classic German pilsner, I'd say. Not bad at all. (849 characters)

Thick robe of foam covers this darkish gold in color lager. The nose is fairly sweet, with fruity esters -- yet spiced up nicely with hops. Taste is full-flavored with a spicy hop presence but also unbalanced with the alcohol significantly showing through. I blame the rice adjunct. Good hop bitterness.

Not the worst beer to pick up off the shelf in a combini -- hopefully it sticks around for more than a couple of months. All the best Braumeister. (454 characters)

Brewed with: Hops, malt, rice.

The label goes on and on about how german this beer is supposed to be. And how they introduced the hops in three stages.

A - Dark yellow transparent body with small white head.
S - Full malty aroma
T - Big malty flavor, with only the oddest bitterness that shows very sharply on the side of the tongue. Its like goya bitter or metallic bitter. Not sweet, not dry, well balanced.
M - Fine carbonation, medium body (for the style as a rice lager, a huge, almost port wine like intensity of body).
D - I was pleasant surprised by this in its robust flavor. I dont think I will be hitting again, but I definately enjoyed this above average beer. (683 characters)
