"Ichiban" of name recognition as you may say synonymous with beer, and fit in any cuisine, but I tried to attack in the "Chinese" this time. It is truly Ichiban Shibori. Zuniga Mito smell is strong, but the aftertaste is not clean, we had increased to one another and the taste of food. Indeed, feeling that beer made with hops and malt only will.
"The Ichiban Shibori" is the flagship product . Compared to other products, and full-bodied with a deep, rich, rich fragrance spread in the whole of the mouth would be a result of sticking to 100% malt indeed. I think it is an all-rounder to suit any situation and cuisine, but it's a commodity that should drink while enjoying thoroughly original, and it is a beer that you have to withstand it a "deep".

This is what a Kirin Pilsener should be like!
Appearance - A nice pale golden color with a bubbly head.
Smell - Nice hop aroma.
Taste - Reminds me of the Czech Pilsner Urquell. Not as dry but definitely has the same qualities. Very hoppy.
Mouthfeel - A little creamy and not so carbonated.
Drinkability - I could drink 3 or 4 of these before even thinking about anything else. It's addictive.
One of my favorite Japanese Pilseners that was discontinued. So disappointing.

Sweet. As in, awesome. Not, like, it tastes sweet. It tastes hoppy. That why it's so awesome. Granted, a lot of that hoppy feelin is from the smell. Man that's a nice hop smell. Honestly the taste isn't as hoppy as I would like. A little too much alcohol coming through it seems. But not a bad pilsner at all, especially for Japan. Cheers.

Pale white gold color, clean smelling nose of malt and spicy hops. Forceful carbonation is matched with a generous spicy hop presence in the mouth that continues well into the aftertaste. Nice amped up pilsener, really pouring on the Saaz making this an extremely thirst-quenching, almost minty in its spiciness, brew. Finishing dry and hoppy. Probably the most unique and most cleaned-up beer I've had from Kirin.

Bottle states that this is an unfiltered beer, so cloudyness and sediment are not defects.
Ingredients: Malts, hops.
A - Hazy yellow honey body with pure white head
S - Not very much hoppyness at all and a blunt maltyness.
T - Plain dry malty beer, with broad plain long lasting bitterness that really blossoms on the finish.
M - Medium body with light carbonation.
D - The bitter finish is what really makes this beer special, but it lacks a certain verve.
This is part of the chilled series from kirin, which means that the beer is continuously chilled during all stages of its lagering, transportation and storage.
Mine was brewed on 19 Jan 06
Consumed on 14 Feb 06
With a Exp. date of 19 Mar 06.

this the 3rd i've tried of the kirin pop-tops, and maybe my favorite of the 3. it definitely fits the style description, except for the part about being crystal clear, this is quite foggy.
very pleasant, but a little mild smell. spicy and grainy. there's a definite hoppy bitterness, but this is a pretty mellow beer overall. the taste is well balanced, clean and light, generic, which in this case is a good thing. i'll take this any day over the unique tastes of major beers like heineken and pilsner urquell, which i don't really like but are so characteristic it's hard for me to get past their name brand taste.
it might be a case of lesser of 2 evils, but it seems to me kirin can make some nice beer in bottles (the pop tops) even though their major sellers (rice lagers and happoshus) are terrible.
