10oz pour into snifter.
A: Pours a murky golden amber color that's slightly lighter than iced tea with a dense and soft looking white head.
S: The nose is full of lychee, must, and fruit pith. Smells drying and bretty with just a touch of sweet lychee. Hints of stone fruits come through as well.
T: Brett dominates with its characteristic earthy funk and very mild bitterness, and it lends maybe a touch of stone fruits as well. The lychee is noticeable and adds an interesting subtle sweetness to the finish. The aftertaste is full of creamy and bitter brett with earthy and medicinal undertones. Lychee is subtle but delicious. Overall everything works, and as is expected lychee is a tough flavor to impart, but I do wish it was more prominent.
M: Creamy mouthfeel, very smooth, with drying yeast and a medium body. Very soft and creamy mouthfeel.
O: Very good. The lychee flavor is unique, and the mouth is very smooth and creamy. It could have used more lychee, but I bet that's hard to do, so I'm not too torn up about it.
