Poured into a little(r) cup with one finger of head on a deep copper colored body.
The smell is faint; mild grain and bread. I was hoping for a little more.
The taste is nice with barnyard sweetness and mild lemon bitterness.
The texture is smooth with low carbonation.
A solid barleywine and enjoyable. (307 characters)

Serving Type- On tap poured into a Tulip Glass

Appearance- A beautiful off read color, little head, pretty strong alcohol legs considering this was not the normal Auld Bitch THIS was the Bourbon Barrel Aged version...

Smell- Sweet malts, dark fruits, sweet smell, tons of bourbon notes, some vanilla on the back end...

Taste- Tons of booze considering its 12% ABV, smooth, dark candied fruit, vanilla, bourbon notes, sweet malts,

Mouth feel- Smooth, a almost scotch like sipping beer, great beer for winter

Overall- One of the best Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley-wines I have ever had... a super solid beer and I cant wait to have it again (641 characters)

Nice dark pour. Heavy bourbon smell. Slightly sour aroma. Very strong flavor. Lots of bourbon and chocolate flavors. Very good. (150 characters)

12oz bottle received as an extra in a trade

L - murky chesnut brown, cloudy and turbid - rather unspeakable looking to be honest, lots of lacing and a thick off-white head
S - Bourbon and vanilla - lots of barrel coming through here
T - Creamy soft caramels with booze and awesome. Hop bitterness is almost non-existent (which I like!) so I would actually classify this as an English Style barleywine
F - a touch prickly with carbonation, but creamy and smooth

O - seriously nice bourbon barrel barleywine. Mighty fine effort (529 characters)
