Indeed Brewing Company Wooden Soul #2. Second in Indeed's sour beer program. I don't have a lot of information about it at my disposal, currently, but I have this 750 ml growler, and I'm about to open it. I seem to be collecting them, these days. Bought this one on Wednesday of last week, June 24, opening it today, Sunday, June 28, 2015.
Appearance: clear and golden, slim head.
Aroma: tart. vinegar. vegetal. woody. Bit of Brett? Arresting and arousing.
Taste: bright, brash, bold. Flush with …wine barrel-aging. Souring yeast. Lean-bodied, long, sour finish. If you want sour, this is your key. Bracingly sour, blisteringly delicious. Intensely juicy. Low hops. Adequate malt. Perfect souring. Yum. I said it, and I'll say it again, yum, A third time, yum a dum dum.

a wild sour golden beer aged in sauv blanc wine barrels. i think its impressive how this series has evolved, and how each beer is so distinct and awesome. this is crazy good, the wine itself flavors the beer as much as the wood, really dry lightly fruity acidic wine notes all the way through this with some sweet oak balancing it out. more lacto bacterial acidity than bretty funk, although there is a good mix of both in here. this is very sour beer, highly acidic, clean though, with citrusy notes that compliment all the wine in here. enough body from some wheat malt i would think, and the oak seems to add some heft as well, long slow flavor journey, white grape, peach, lemon, very fresh and very lively in the mouthfeel as well, with superb carbonation and a great smoothness before the sourness kicks in. one of the more simple beers in the series in terms of no fruit or crazy blends, but i love the bright wine in here and the clean lacto profile. some age might give it a little more of the funk i have liked so much in some of the others, but this is great as young beer too. indeed is a step (in some cases two steps) ahead of the game up here!
