American Pale Ale (APA) |  5.40% ABV

Availability: Year-round

Notes/Commercial Description:
Regionally grown American pale malt is blended with rich European malt to produce a lighter bodied beer, bright in color, with a taut white head. Then there are the hops - four pounds per barrel to be exact. Willamettes, Cascades, CTZ, and Summits give this brew a citrus punch and spicy character.

A - Pours a medium hazy golden orange with a solid finger of near white head, ok retention, great lacing.

S - Definitely smells pretty "dank". Lots of citrusy bitterness with some decent spicy pine notes.

T - Very dry piney bitterness, some light citrus fruit flavors come through after the initial bite. The dry, bitter, and sweet fruit aftertaste leave my mouth watering a bit. A little lacking in depth

M - Incredibly refreshing/drinkable. Medium/lighter bodied with decent carbonation.

O - Pretty tasty, kind of a little too one dimensional - dry refreshing bitterness, lacks depth IMO

Review #2900
Can holder dated 5-08 on the six pack.

Hazy brassy orange body, sticky thick foam that leaves behind plenty of lacing in the glass, so much so it resembles a snow globe. Lasting coverage.

Hoppy grassy aroma, dank and a little funky from the fresh hops, bitter dandelion greens and pale malt. Flavors of pale malt and bitter green hoppiness, it has a nice bite to it. Light bodied and flavorful. Biscuit aftertaste with some dry greenery intermingled.

This beer reminded me a bit of a ubiquitous local favorite, Daisy Cutter.
