Dark reddish amber color with two fingers of head that held firm before eventually settling to a thin cap. Moderate amount of spotty lacing is left down the glass.
Aroma is pure coffee. The cold pressed coffee smells as if it is lightly roasted. More earthy and sweet smelling.
A little bit more to this beer than just coffee when tasted. Very little roasted quality in the beer. Hints of toffee, caramel, and nuts. Finishes with a touch of sweetness.
Light body and lightly carbonated.
More of a coffee infused with beer than the other way around. Lighter bodied than most other coffee beers and lower ABV. I would still take my coffee in a bigger, more richly malted beer.

A: A dark coffee black color with slight brown tones.
S: Smelled slightly of coffee but mostly had a roasty malt aroma.
T: Tasted strongly of coffee and roasted malts, like the smell.
M: Had a smooth mouthfeel.
O: a good coffee beer but not my favorite, I would have again and I would recommend.

Pours amber brown. Fair amount of head recedes to leave some lacing.
Aroma is brown ale nuttiness with some coffee and some toffee sweetness.
Taste is really nutty with toasted malt/ bread etc. Followed by coffee and toffee sweetness.
Fairly light on the palate with moderate carbonation.
This was from the last batch so it is a couple months old. Maybe the coffee fades fast but I recall the previous batch having a more robust in your face coffee flavor.

I don't know how to rate this beer since it is pretty much all coffee.
Dark copper in color. Fizzy tan head.
Flavors of straight up coffee. This beer is like a cold pressed coffee. Take coffee bender and subtract all the non coffee flavors. Awesome.
Mouthfeel: smooth with a minimal roast. Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
Overall, if you like coffee, you will like this. Very tasty.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Pint.
Appearance: Cloudy ruby orange with moderate sized, light tan head.
Smell: Caramel infused espresso. Pretty strong and pleasing aroma, but one dimensional.
Taste: Coffee is definitely dominant. Some caramel, toasted malts and dark fruits as well, with a hint of spiciness on the finish along with the roasted coffee.
Feel: Moderate carbonation with a body that is a little too thin but mostly works for this beer.
Overall: The closest I have tasted to a true beer and coffee hybrid and I like it.

This is a lower alcohol beer, coming in at 5.1% ABV and 15 IBU. Indeed has paired with local Northeast Minneapolis neighbor Dogwood Coffee to make this particular beer. It is infused with ground Colombia El Meridiano coffee before being finished with cold brewed Dogwood NEON. I've been pretty happy with Indeed's beers and love their Northeast taproom, so I was happy to get to try this one. The namesake for this beer is the burr grinder, a coffee grinder thought by most coffee aficianados to be the best. I have cheaper model at home and it certainly improves the coffee consistency versus the blade grinder I used to use. The beer comes in a 750 ml bottle with an attractive design and wax-dipped top.
Aroma: Bright light roast coffee aroma up front with a bit of sweet malt and caramel. No hop aroma. Fairly subtle overall.
Appearance: Pours a ruby to nearly brown color with excellent clarity. A fine off-white head that is od medium size.
Flavor: Strong coffee flavor at the start and really is present throughout the whole tasting process. Some malt sweetness and toffee flavors balance the astringency of the roasted beans. This is a lighter bodied beer with an off-dry finish.
Overall: A good use of coffee as the star of this beer. The coffee is fresh and bright tasting without the burnt character that often accompanies the style. A well balanced creation and very drinkable.
