Poured from 750 mL bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a clear amber hue with 2 inch bubbly off-white head. Good retention...very active carbonation jets continue to feed it. Very faint lacing.
S: Distinct lavender note hits first, then light caramel malt, mildly sweet honey, and a hit of toast/biscuit.
T: Equal parts lavender, honey, and dates seems to hit all at once...takes a bit to sort it out (they are all fairly equal participants). The lavender doesn't dominate and the dates provide a thickening of the backbone...both of which serves the brew very well. Definitely very interesting. I can see where this might not be everyone's cup of tea (or beer as it may), but I quite enjoy it. The lavender provides a nice floral note, the honey a smooth sweetness, and the dates a chewy firmness. It works very, very well for me.
M: Light-medium body. Smooth and sweet throughout. Slightly oily feel.
D: This one was a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure what I was getting into with this one. Not very complex...it really is all about the L (Lavender), S (Sunflower honey), and D (Dates). But the end result is a well-balanced brew that just works. A tip of the cap to Indeed.

A- Apricot colored, very clear. Head is one finger and doesn't last long.
S- The lavender notes are pretty noticeable. Smells a bit like a lighter Belgian pale. Definitely sweet.
T- Complex notes in this one, but not quite the right balance. It has a sweet amber ale or Belgian base, and the honey is definitely in there. The dates also are apparent, but I would have liked a bit more of that and a bit less lavender. By the end of the glass, it was a bit wearing on the palate.
M- Sweet, somewhat sticky. I would have liked more carbonation. This beer is a sweet, slow drinker, so by the end of the glass it feels heavy and stickier than it should.
O- An interesting beer, I'm glad I had once, but a 12 oz pour is about all I need.
