Light golden honey color with a slim but decent head.
Smells of fresh citrus, sweetness, light floral elements and hops.
Bitter pine but slightly bland. Smells more interesting than it tastes.
ABV feels around 7%. Refreshing, drinkable and clean finish.
Not the worst IPA out there but could use a little something.

Stopped by the brewery, and decided to start with their regular IPA from the tap. Not much of a head, but a beautiful golden color, and light lacing. Smells nice, some light appetizing grapefruit and citrus notes, but that's the highest point of the beer. Let down by the taste, seems average and unremarkable for an IPA. Taste has the expected degree of IPA bitterness, but I really wanted interesting flavors to emerge in the beer. Just seemed average, with long drawn out unremarkable bitter aftertaste, seems unbalanced. Carbonation was distractingly high. Overall, there are much better IPA's out there. Perhaps I am spoiled by the high bars set by Stone and Ballast Point and really wanted Strike's IPA to be much better than it is.

Look: Cloudy, hazy burnt orange, doesn't seem too carbonated
Smell: Light and airy. Not overwhelming. Nothing to complex, hard to pick up any flavor besides the classic hop.
Taste: Classic hop taste, background grapefruit, piney, doesn't feel strong.
Feel: Keeps up with the light feeling, definitely don't feel full after drinking.
Overall: Pretty standard IPA, not a lot of flavor, worth a try.

Nothing special, a mediocre IPA that pails in comparison to Strike's Pale Ale and Imperial IPA.

This was the worst beer to hit my lips all year. First the bottle exploded and I lost 1/2 of it on the kitchen floor; when it finally settled I poured what was left into a glass. The scent and flavor was like greasy molded cardboard. I took one sip and thought "is this really as bad as it seems" waited a few minutes, took another sip....and poured it all down the drain. Waste of $6.

These guys where at the epic series in new Port beach. There IPA is solid ggreat hop taste. Rich hop flavor with a clean finish. Smell is floral with a hint of grass. Pours golden. Medium body goes down easy. Would recommend

A: Poured aggressively into a pint glass. When held up to the light this one is a translucent golden, copper with hints of amber. Not much head atop, just some scattered bubbles and film (much more when I poured the second half of the bottle). Lots of lacing and hop oil residue on the edges of the glass as you drink. Carbonation levels look to be a bit lower than average. I like that it's a bit hazy and the lacing is a good sign.
S: Hops are front and center; mostly floral and pine notes with some orange and lemon citrus zest. A definite toffee malt backbone. A pleasant odor, although there is a slightly off-putting rubbery, metallic note that becomes more apparent as the beer warms.
T: Drinks very similar to the smell. Bitter grapefruit rinds and lemon hit first, followed by a mellowing middle where the malts struggle to add some balance and sweetness. Finishes fairly balanced although the hops prevail once again in the aftertaste with oily, bitter grapefruit and pine resin .
M: Medium bodied with mild but active carbonation and a bit of chewiness. Some oil on the tongue, but not overly oily or sticky. A tad thin, but easy on the stomach and quite drinkable.
O: Nothing intricate here, just a great sessionable IPA (as advertised).
