The latest release from Sleeping Giant, touted as their Holiday/Winter Seasonal.
A - Pours a copper colour with an amber hue, finger of head with some retention and very sporadic lacing.
S - Scent is very bready, hints of caramel and grassy hop notes come through with a touch of spice.
T - Following suit on the nose, a buttered bread and wheat flavours dominate alongside hints of light citrus rind hops, grassy and earthy notes linger alongside a hint of caramel.
M - Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dryness.
O - A tasty amber ale, though nothing spectacular. It certainly fulfills the goal of an easy drinking ale that does not overwhelm the palette and is easily sessioned. Would be a tasty brew to have on tap at the local watering holes alongside some appetizers. Worth a try indeed.
