The third entry of six in the Euro Invitation is Bass Pale Ale. Pulled out of the fridge, allowed time to warm up, and poured into a pint glass, on to the beer:
Bass pours an orangish amber with a decent head. Buttery flavors dominate for the smell and taste, but one also gets a hint of caramel, toast, and nutty flavors. Throw in a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, and you have yourself the new leader of the Euro Invitation, beating out Pilsner Urquell for the early honor.
Three down, and three to go. Next up, Guinness Draught.

Ah, Bass pale ale. Have had it before but never reviewed it. I review this as I'm drinking it. Here goes:
A: One of the best things about the beer. Pours a clear red with a nice, robust head. Can easily see the other side of the glass. The head quickly dissipates, however, but it leaves a lot of lacing (which is surprising for a mass-produced beer).
S: OK, not good or bad but decent nonetheless. Presence of amber malt, minimal hops and English baker's yeast. Like a watered-down English pale ale. Still OK, though.
T: Not bad for what it is. Lightly-kilned amber malts impart a light earthy flavor. There are some hops but they're mild and don't really coat the palate. What's interesting it that you can detect the presence of English baker's yeast, which impart a very bready character on the beer.
M: OK. Bready character coats the palate well but the beer is somewhat light-bodied. Lots of carbonation, though, which is good.
O: A good (but very light and mild) English pale ale. Mild smell, flavors and mouthfeel but a very bready character.
