J.T. Whitney's Weizenbock pours out a hazy brown color topped with a very thin layer of head. It's served with a slice of lemon, which I discarded onto an unused coaster on the bar. Fruity aroma of lemon and banana. The aroma is very good except for occasional whiffs of something that smells like band aids. The flavor is a wheat base with the sweet and sour flavor typical of the style. Banana and lemon flavors are pronounced. The mouthfeel is medium to full. Good drinkability. The menu describes this beer as a more alcoholic version of their Heartland Weiss beer. It seems to be more than that. This is certainly one of the better beers I've had at J.T. Whitney's.

Ladies and gentleman put down the pint the pint and slowly back away! This beer is not a "session" beer by any means. This bad boy packs a walloping and head hurting 9% (yes thats a niner in there) While it may be high gravity it does not taste like alcohol. Its taste is very very reminscent of hefeweizens; but its taste goes beyond that. It is one of my favorite beers of all time and ive had a few. It has more than ample fruitiness, yet finishes strong with subtle hints of malt and hops. I would highly recomend this danky brew to any discerning beer drinker. PROST!
