A dash of salt. A touch of tart. That’s what makes this unique German-style wheat beer a seasoned professional at serious summer thirst quenching. With its glowing golden color, peach & citrus nose followed by a prickly mouthfeel that leaves a gentle tartness and a dash of salt on the palate, the Old Pro never fails to bring you back for another sip.

Extremely sour and puckering. Almost too much for my tastes but still enjoyable.

Average size white head over a moderately hazed gold body; lacing was sparse. Aroma exhibits the sourness usually associated with the style along with a distinct lemon quality. Flavor of sourdough bread, tart fruit, a dose of salt and yeast (not associated with the bread). Hops seem non-existent. Now the coriander is showing. Acidic aftertaste. Dry, light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Lingering finish.

12 ounce can poured into a Pilsner glass.
Canned 2/25/20
L: Pale straw and slightly cloudy with slowly rising bubbles and a three plus finger white fluffy head that eventually dissipates to just a ring.
S: Salty sour lemon with some sour dough and a little horse blanket.
T: Starting tart, dry and lemon-like. Salt and a little sweaty funk show in the middle and move to a quick tangy finish. The sourness is restrained and I can't detect any hop bitterness.
F: Light and effervescent with medium-high carbonation, very dry and only light astringency.
O: Brite and zesty with a manageable tart/sour profile. Easy drinking and refreshing, maybe a good place to start if you are new to Gose or other sours.

12oz can into a tulip
Look: A cloudy, pale yellow. Pours with a small white cap of foam that dissipates quickly into a ring on top of the liquid.
Smell: I get a faint whiff of cracker-like malt before the sour lemon aroma totally overpowers everything else.
Taste: Exactly like the nose, crackery malt followed by lots of tart lemon flavor. Lingering salty/sour finish.
Feel: Light/thin bodied with light carbonation and tiny bubbles.
Overall: So refreshing on a hot day, heavy on the sour citrus and with a finish that leaves you wanting to keep on sippin'.
