A Belgian-style dark strong ale that showcases notes of stone fruits and raisins. Dark amber in colour with a higher carbonation to keep the beer from feeling to heavy.

Aroma is caramel malts/liqueur and a good hint of raisin bread. The flavor is caramel malts/liqueur, fruit/dark fruit and a slightly cloying/alcoholic finish.

A-ruby color with a fingers worth of khaki colored head that leaves a thin layer of lacing around the top
S-plums and other dark fruits, caramel, yeast, and light spices
T-caramel backbone, dark fruits, brown sugar, light banana, yeast, and spices
M-medium body, crisp carbonation
Overall tastes more like a Quad than a BSDA, but overall nice amounts of caramel and dark fruits with just a light amount of alcohol warming

Pours a dark copper colour that leans to the red side white a thick white head that has okay retention lining the edges of the glass. There is a slight yeastiness to the nose, along with some spices and a caramel maltiness. Spices take the forefront of the taste along with a burnt dark sugar maltiness. There is an earthy hop and bitterness that finishes the flavour. There is a mild alcohol burn but that is to be expected with a 9.8% ABV and it doesn't overpower the medium mouthfeel. A tasty little beer.

Oh deary me. Those poor Belgian monks, equaled or bettered by mere Canucks on their home turf.
You pour out what looks to be cognac and catch the scent of Liege by way of Antwerp. A nostril massaging ester party opens up your pleasure centre, so you slump into your chair because you have a good feeling about this one. The stemless Bordeaux glass cries 'au revoir!' to the unhead that lingers not but for scattered wispy islands and a thin circumferential atoll. A clamourous butter toffee aroma wells up as you move in for the slurp, and then you.are.done. Addicted in one sip. The smoothest, butteriest, just hoppiest enough treat I've had in the last few years. GET SOME.

9.8% abv, 25 ibu, 650ml bottle.
A - clear cooper color, with thin almost no head.
S - floral, raisin, dried fruit, banana, caramel, toffee, malt sweetness, buttery.
T - well carbonated, yet smooth sticky big syrup body. sweetness coated tongue, banana, finish with bit bitterness, and some kinda citrus refreshness. alcohol hidden really well, u wouldnt know its 9.8% abv!! intense flavor punch, complex, dry, but ran out fast, left with fruity after taste.
O - "Belgium candy" added, really big boozy beer, delish. taste like ice-bock, sweet, banana, toffee, enjoyed the massive flavors lingering, sticky and strong, little bit malt. good value on a 9.8% beer. worth to try, good value.

This one was quite intriguing from the first smell. There is definitely a lot going on here and I am far from qualified to understand it all. After some thought, I realized the taste that was sticking out to me was a sort of buttery flavour. Which is strange and pretty cool. Over all, a very tasty and unique beer.
