Notes/Commercial Description:
Caution, one too many may cause you to talk Shite. It combines a chewy malt forward mouth feel balanced by a moderate hopping rate delivered by challenger golding and fuggles hops. Dangerously Quaffable at 38 IBU, Beer to savor over a good conversation.

From growler. Pour is dark ruby red with no head. Nose is faint, green apple skin, light caramel malt, and some dark berry sweetness. Taste has more malt presence, chewy feel, a bit of nuttiness and some sweet caramel. Hints of green apple skin and a touch of plum. Very light carbonation, crisp finish.

Had several pints of this beer at the Lucky Pie in LoDo (Denver) during the BA social at the bar/restaurant Feb 22, 2014. Review from notes taken while sampling my first glass.

Dark, golden copper colored body with a thin head. Not much aroma, just an extremely faint malt scent. The taste is rich and buttery; toffee and peanut brittle; nutty. Medium bodied; velvety smooth.

Topnotch taste and feel are the highlights and definitely exudes the malt character. Big bodied and viscous. A malty pleasure.

Dry hopped with simcoe.

Pours a murky brown at first, then clears up with a hazelnut hue. Creamy head, waterfall. Looks great

Aroma is a touch piney with heavy malt backbone. Rich.

Flavors are a bit muddled with the dry hopped simcoe addition. While this is tasty, I think it becomes less of an ESB. Malt backbone is toned down a bit, but I'd like to see more of it. Caramel and biscuit sweetness.

Bites. Hops change this beer. Still very good, though

On cask at the brewery. Dark chestnut color. Smells nice and malty. Taste is very good, chewy malts, caramel, nuts. Really surprising beer and something I would order again without hesitation. I don't see too many ESB's around and when I do they are unimpressive. This was very flavorful and just a real solid beer. MOAR!

Update had this on cask dry-hopped with Simcoes, intoxicating.
