Appearance: Brown in color, kind of rusty. Light creamy head but not much lacing. Looks somewhat like a coca-cola.
Smell: Roasted malt, but light. Some bread and biscuits. A bit nutty.
Taste: Very nice. Smooth. Roasted flavors with some coffee. A slight bitterness of hops way in the background, but very well blended. An interesting in-between taste. More roasted than some brown ales but definitely lighter than a porter.
Mouthfeel: Medium mouth feel. Very light carbonation.
Drinkability: Quite drinkable, but I'm a big fan of brown ales. I would say that this is definitely a beer you should consider when you want a dark beer but one that's on the lighter side and more refreshing in taste than stouts or porters.
Serving type: on-tap
