Buried in the heart of Lansing, Illinois lives a stallion, not a pony. This mildly aggressive American pale ale appears golden and has a scent of hops. This beast provides taste of hops and a hint of grapefruit (not overly aggressive). This stallion not only won the Kentucky derby, but it won the triple crown (appearance, smell, taste). Spotted Saddle has earned a spot in my top three American pale ales: 1. Three Floyds Zombie Dust, 2. Half Acre Daisy Cutter, 3. One Trick Pony Spotted Saddle. Spotted Saddle is an inexpensive brew that is definitely worth a try. I recently brought a growler of Spotted Saddle to a 4th of July party, needless to say at the end of the day everyone was raving about Spotted Saddle and the firework show. (740 characters)
