Notes/Commercial Description:
Debuted at an event that crowned our hometown "Dog Town USA," this light-hearted ale bounds with regional Citra, Centennial and Crystal hops for those citrusy notes beloved by Northwest hop hounds. We've nudged the malt bill in the other direction, for a sessionable ale that's easy to love.

A: Pours a light, clear amber with a good sized and fizzy white head. Head fades out very slowly.

S: Mild grapefruit hop presence. A dry, crackery malt backs it up. Crisp and refreshing.

T: Grapefruity and citrusy hops in general. Nice bold flavors up front. A dry, crackery type malt - saltine like. Not overly bitter but a decent wave of bitterness follows in the finish. Lingering grapefruit in the aftertaste.

M: Medium bodied, dry and crisp.

O: Wow, this was really nice. Really flavorful for 4.5%. This blows Founders All Day IPA out of the water for a session IPA. It's not some enormous hop bomb or layered with 50 different flavors, but that's just fine given what this beer is supposed to be. What it is supposed to be a is a nice, easy drinking session IPA and it delivers exactly that. Great balance, great bright hop flavors and it just works.

16.9 oz bottle, bottled on 2/4/14. Pours hazy golden orange with a big frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is biscuity malts with some orange and tropical fruit and some resiny hops. Oddly, it's a bit salty too.

The flavor is sweet bready caramel malts with some tropical fruit and a decent grassy, resiny hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery.

Overall, a solid session IPA.

(Served in a Nonic)

A- This beer pours a touch of haze to an aged copper body that has a nice swirl of microcarbonation rising to the surface. There is a thin sticky film of snow white foam that sticks in sheets to the glass with each sip.

S- The full aromatic green floral hops come through as soon as the beer is sat infront of me. There is a pine resin character that finishes the aroma with hints of a slight musty pale malt note that grows as the beer opens. This beer makes me want to just sit an smell it all day.

T- The rich pine resin hops blends with some unripe fruit hops and a mix of pale malt and cracker malt in the finish. This finish is a bit dry with some papery green hop flavors lingering. The pine resin flavor hangs on the tongue but there is no bitterness to it.

M- The medium-light mouthfeel has a gentle fizz in the finish.

O- This beer is a full of great hop character with enough depth to keep it interesting but also staying light enough to make a great session beer.

Sampled as part of a blind tasting flight of session IPAs. Slightly funky nose of sweet tropical fruit. Palate is balanced between sweet malt and bitter, citrusy hops. Body is a little thin, yet also creamy. Lightly sweet note of biscuity malt on the finish.

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with some coppery notes and a two finger white head with good retention and lots of lacing. Light, but pleasant aroma of biscuit malt, citrus hops and light fruit. Flavor is a great blend of biscuit and caramel malt, grassy and citrus hops, tropical fruit and citrus, finishing with grassy hop bitterness with a touch of lemon citrus. Medium bodied. Relatively light flavored for an IPA, but considering the mild ABV, remarkably balanced and tasty. I'm not a big fan of the session IPA style, but this is very nicely done, and I'd get it again any time.

A. It has a dull caramel color, with a foamy white head and some good lacing. It's clearish, but kinda cloudy. No real bubbles that I can see.

S. Very hoppy scent.

T/M. Like the scent, this is a lovely hop scent. There's a bit of sweetness there, perhaps a grape. It's easy on the mouth. Semi-carbonated. Has a good earthiness to it. A bit of apple.

O. Very easy to drink. Very flavorful for a session ale.

Pint at "b2Taphouse" in Salem Oregon. $4.00 Clear golden ale with a small off white head..that goes fast but leaves attractive lace. Fine fresh grapefruit/lemon peel aromas..a small amount of weak caramel malt. Very nice lemon/grapefruit taste..fresh and invigorating. Nice mouthfeel not that thin for style but coats the tongue. Overall one of the best "Session ales" I have had.

16.9oz bottle into SN IPA Glass.

Pours a lightly hazy, golden with a foamy, off white head that leaves wonderful lacing.

Big citric, fruity hops upfront. Really inviting. Same thing in the palate with a clean, crackery malt finish.

Medium body, fizzy, foamy carbonation.

A well done IPA, or maybe APA.
