Stopped here on a Monday in July, and this place has a following. We got the last two seats at the bar, and then ordered up and had friendly service, And the beer was pretty good, too. ;).

I really enjoyed this place for the atmosphere which is very lively, food cart outside, ice cream truck, too, people playing bags, frisbee, kids playing with their parents in the adjoining grassy lot. Dogs everywhere, all well behaved and social able, beautiful mountain sunset scenery, bike trail comes right to the property, the only problem they might have is parking, a bit on the light side.

If you are in the area drop in, you will be glad you did, it is worth a stop, great place to hang out, meet friends, enjoy the atmosphere.

This was stop #28 for my wife and I on a 21-day pub-crawl from Michigan to N. CA and OR. We stopped here on a Monday afternoon to enjoy their beers. The taproom is located inside a partitioned area of this light-industrial building that is located in an industrial park setting. The brewing equipment is visible through windows. Beer is ordered at a counter, and seating is available at bar tables and picnic tables in this area. Some tables were also available next to one side of the exterior of the building where a food truck was parked.

We ordered a sampler flight of 6 of the 16 beers that were available (there were also two beers that were available in bottles) and added a seventh beer after studying the beer menu descriptions further. All of the beers are well made, and each exceeds the characteristics to their respective style. Two that were notable were the Outcast IPA and the Doublecross Strong Dark Belgian Ale. The (Banished) Doublecross was also very good, but not as good as it’s origin beer.

We liked the beers and would have liked to stay longer and enjoy more of them, but we were hungry and the food truck was not enticing enough for us to go beyond a snack that my wife had just to hold her until we got to the next brewery on our list. This is a highly recommended brewery to experience.

Crux is a little slice of heaven. The breadth of beer styles is just amazing, and I've been impressed by something in almost every one I've tried. I was after their Banished series, and I wasn't disappointed. The stuff that I only see a rare keg of in Portland was flowing freely.

There is a little field next to the outdoor tables with a dog run, beanbag games, and a couple of frisbee golf holes. If you have kids, it's easy to relax while they tear around in the field. This is a rare luxury in a restaurant. Just make sure to go on a nice day.

The food is a bit, um, hearty, but definitely tasty. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Wow What a treat. This is a great place to sit, eat ,talk with good friends and drink excellent beer. A very nice selection to choose from. I tried the Half Hitch double IPA and the Snow Cave. We had a delicious meat and cheese plate for a nosh since we were on the Bend Ale Trail and a base is very important. The menu is small but spot on. Larry Sidor the former Brewmaster at Dechutes Brewery is the man in charge and he has knocked it out of the park. Yeah I'll be back just to sit outside to see the best sunset in Bend.
