Dark hazy orange body topped with three fingers of dense rocky off-white micro-bubbles.

Piney aroma with a citrus backdrop.

Malty sweetness slides around the tongue without grabbing a foothold. Tons of pine. Big bitterness, a mix of good and bad bitterness. Hint of cleanser in finish. Smooths out as it warms and earlier flaws drop out. Much better once it's out of the fridge for the better part of an hour.

Medium mouthfeel.

Just okay overall. I like Brash's attitude, labels, names, and all, but the two IPAs I've had we're just so-so. I did like the Smoglifter stout though.

There is no bottle date. The beer pours hazy gold with a 2” off-white finely bubbled foam cap that persists and provides clingy lace. It has a grassy nose over light malts with a hint of melon. A very creamy attack starts the palate followed by malt and then the malt emerges with hops in the aftertaste. Fruit flavors tend to melon and citrus sweetened with caramel malt. It has medium-high body and median carbonation. The creaminess makes the beer here along with some big hop spiciness. It is listed as an IPA but it is big, full flavored, creamy and zaftig for IPA. Yes it has a big dose of hops but they are well done and the hop bitterness is well-balanced by the rich malt flavors along with some caramel and fruit. I could drink this all day as long as I didn’t have to drive anywhere or operate any heavy equipment.

22oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 7.99. Bottled 10/7/13. Served in a Microbrasserie Charlevoix goblet.

Appears golden yellow in the pour but ends in the glass a hazed opaque amber. The full finger of white frothy head lingers and leaves a fair amount of lace.

Aroma seems muted but contains some dank hops, pine and a little citrus zest.

Up front flavors of bitter orange peel and pine resin. Augmented by grapefruit, pear, mango, fruit skins, biscuit, hay, pepper and just a little booze. While overall pleasant, I sense something of an almost bland "old hop" character from either a unique recipe or perhaps being over eight weeks from bottling.

Medium body with moderate carbonation. Lingering, bitter grapefruit aftertaste.

This came across as a rare miss from Brash. Too bad it took over 2 months from bottling to hit Georgia shelves. As pretentious as many people may find this statement, I think age played a factor in my enjoyment of this. Nevertheless an acceptable IPA, just not as good as many others.

Hazy golden beer beneath a thin wispy foam. Some lacing forms up on the sides of the glass. Smells of apricots, biscuit and marmalade. Not a bad invitation. Taste is super bitter hop oils right up front..orange rinds, grapefruit, unripe papaya, onions almost a bit garlicky. Medium body feels too light on the tongue with not much heft or creaminess. Moderate carbonation. Bitterness persists for a long long while. I love the IBU's but not hop flavor profile isn't my favorite. Fair effort all together.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/8/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, pineapple, floral, grass, herbal, caramel, bread, pine, and floral earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hop and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, orange zest, lemon zest, pineapple, floral, grass, pine, herbal, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of earthy floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, orange/lemon zest, pine, herbal, floral, caramel, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity of citrus/earthy hop and moderate malt flavors; with a moderately crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with and lightly creamy, and moderately crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice IPA. Good balance and complexity of citrus/earthy hop and malt flavors; and quite smooth and crisp to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.
