Thanks to Skuter for sharing this one at his tasting.

Bottled 4/10/13.

Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and slight coffee aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and coffee flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that has a nice balance between sweet and roasty characteristics.

Had on tap at Pour Farm, New Bedford

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, moderate carbonation, black in color, opaque

Smell: char and cream

Taste: dark chocolate, light char, cream, and a light smoky backbone

Mouthfeel: heavy body, sweet with char bitterness, low carbonation

Overall: A good not great sweet stout with just enough char to offset the sweetness. The alcohol sneaks up on you. I would get this again, but I would not rush out for it.

Dark, opaque body; light brown head with clinging sheets of suds on the sides of the glass. Deep roasted grain scent; dark chocolate; cocoa nibs; coffee. Taste follows the smell, coupled with a subtle hop bitterness with a deceptively hidden alcohol warmth. Medium-heavy body; thick and chewy; semisweet finish.

Sure, there's some evident sweetness to this brute, but the overall flavor character brings way more to the table. Bold and delightful...

look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

appearance: Very dark and opaque brown. A thick mocha head on the pour. A bit of ruby highlights sneak in when held to light. Yep, looks like a stout ought to.
smell: Very nice. A little roastiness but velvety smooth. Smells like semi-sweet chocolate. No hint of alcohol.
taste: Very much like the nose. The 10% makes itself known though. Still smooth but has some sack.
overall: very nice take on an imp stout. According to Brash drinkin this is like "making love to your mouth like a horny sorority girl." Thankfully that ain't true but it's a damn good beer.

22 oz bottle courtesy of fthomasl pours a viscous black color with a really dark brown head...almost Ten Fidy dark. Decent retention and lace.

Nose is malted milk balls with a lactose-y sugar sweetness. Light licorice and herbal hop.

Ohhh, taste is nice. Not overly sweet or rich but has a nice roasty presence most milk stouts lack. Hides the ABV very well and the mouthfeel is silky. I like this quite a bit, well done.
