Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazy, golden-copper coloring with a frothy, filmy, off-white head. Aromas of tangy citrus and sweet tropical fruits, with toasty backbone notes and a touch of piney resin. Flavors are bold and balanced, with a caramel forward profile, enveloped by an oregano spice, cut grass, and tropical fruit sweetness. Very balanced with the sweet and bitter, and the spice accents very well. Resin notes build at the end of the palate, with a dry, bittering build as you go. Good pine pitch characteristic to it. The aftertaste is bitter and dry, with a richness to it that stays with you for a bit. The effervescence keeps the brew light in mouth, breaking up some of the robust characteristics, and the finish is light, crisp, and slightly astringent. Good, solid beer that is well balanced, and does a good job hiding the slightly elevated ABV. Tasty

22 oz bottle. Pours golden orange with a medium creamy off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet caramel / crystal malts, tropical fruit and some grassy piney resiny hops.
The flavor is sweet bready crystal malts and tropical fruit with a big resiny piney hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, similar to the Bolllocks with more bitterness and less alcohol. Another solid over the top DIPA.

Pours amber with a small head.
Nose shows heavy sweet clean malt with some fruity confectionery and piny hops.
Similar flavours with lots of malt and some pine and resinous hops, but then a massive sharp bitterness rolls through accompanied by a fair bit of booze.
Body feels pretty thick.

Another beer out of Ipswich, MA. This is a collaboration between Brash and Ska Brewing (CO) and is in the double IPA style.
The color is coppery with a decent hop aroma. The first sip yielded a medium body with an initial metallic taste. The hop character I would not describe as floral or piney, rather grapefruit but more like the bitter rind instead of the fruit. 129 ibu says the label (which features badass artwork btw). The aftertaste was lingering and somewhat odd. I drank half the bottle and decided to move on...my wife (a big hop head) didn't want the rest either.
I get the impression that they were just going for "BIG" over everything else. Maybe that was a noteworthy approach back when craft beer was in its infancy (ie. Arrogant Bastard) but personally I feel like that's been done and executed better. At around $10 for a bomber I would look elsewhere before purchasing again.

22oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 12.99. Bottled 10/04/13. Served in a Clown Shoes snifter.
Pours a hazy orange gold with a finger and a half white head. Wispy layer of retention and a fair bit of lace.
Aromas of bittersweet citrusy hops, vague earthy oak and sweet bready malts.
Taste follows the nose, Bitter earthy pine, grapefruit peel, wet grass, muted oranges, cracker, bread, sweet malts and some booze.
Medium oily body with moderate carbonation. Long grassy bitter finish.
Another in a long line of seemingly collapsed collaborations. I prefer the individual brewerys' independent IPAs to this. Not bad at all (and I had no problems polishing off the bomber) but it's nothing spectacular. Not quite worth the cost of entry considering how much better both The Bollocks and Modus Hoperandi are.
