Great place to have a beer. Owners and staff are good people. Nice video games from the 1980s with metal music. Brash beers are good. I recommend Pussy Wagon and any of their Stouts; especially Cortado.

Big open space that is not air conditioned. It does have about 30 video games of the classic style and lots of loud music that isn't overpowering. Great hangout space especially for those high on inner angst.

This place is f@$&%*'n amazing. Not only do they have some of the best beers in Houston, the taproom/brewery is a ton of fun as well.
The first thing to know about Brash is that they don't make fizzy yellow beer. Every thing here is high Abv (mostly) and full of flavor. While everything is good, I personally go for the Cali-Green IPA or Abide. Abide is crazy good. Crazy. Good.
The "taproom" has tons of retro arcade cabinets and an amazing jukebox. I don't know any other jukebox that has multiple Red Chord and Job for a Cowboy albums. It's just an awesome experience.
I'm so glad these guys are no longer exiled from Texas. I'm coming back for sure!

Bigger warehouse area. Many arcade games. Jukebox full of metal music, which I like but may only appeal to a smaller population. Small bar but with a good beer selection that is always excellent. We went on a Sunday after a big release, so it was a slow day. Not many people there, but I can see it being a hopping place when busy.

This brewery is the definition of "hole-in-a-wall". Pretty crazy finding it on my phone while driving through random areas of Houston. Once you reach the alley (behind apartments) the tell-tale skull logo they are known for shows you this little parking lot is the right place. It is basically a garage.
Dimly lit, like a dungeon with stone floors, tables to sit at, and a shitload of old school pinball machines and arcade games. Dope man! Also a ton of heavy metal, bringing back some middle and high school nostalgia.
Their beers are excellent and exactly what I am looking for. High ABV stouts are all that I order, shelling out 6 bucks a piece. Sadly there are no glasses to drink out of or purchase.
Still, great beer, awesome games, nice people. Cheers

This is my favorite Houston brewery - purely in terms of beer. That said, we also do love the vibe of the brewery but realize it may not be for everyone.
Arcade games are cool, juke box plays metal music (i.e. Metallica, Pantera, etc.) with the volume turned up to "10". Very open space and often a food truck on Fri & Sat.
Employees are super nice, though aren't always the most approachable.
Best IPAs coming out of Houston, without question.

This place is over-the-top in respect to hole-in-the-wall, gritty, craft beer roots. Many upon pulling up may question whether their GPS directed them to the correct location, but rest assured you have found some of the latest and greatest brews coming out of H-town. The arcade games, loud metal, and top quality beers will set you right.

Visited June 24th. Warehouse location with a very industrial feel, picnic tables and retro arcade games. Heavy metal is the music of choice from the jukebox. Very laid back atmosphere and very friendly staff. Limited beer offerings from Brash on tap but what they have is excellent. If you're looking for a fufu brewpub experience then this is not the venue for you. If you're looking for a non-pretentious laid back good time with great brews, then visit Brash.

I am 5 across the board on this place.
They love metal, they love beer... their Jukebox makes me feel ashamed of my metal knowledge.
I haven't been since the opening, but I freaking loved it and it is actually one of the main reasons I have thoughts of moving to Houston.

This place could end up being really cool eventually, but they are still pretty green. The tap room is huge and has lots of room for growth, but the vibe was pretty mellow. The beers were ok and the selection was pretty limited. Only 4 beers on tap the Saturday I went.

Not your usual local brewery so please don't expect the location to compare to the bigger guys around town. What they may lack in selection is paid back in character. You've got over two dozen retro arcade games to sink some quarters into and a jukebox with nothing but metal. This place may not be catering to the normal crowd but there's nothing unwelcoming about the crowd or staff. I love it here.

Tap room hours are Friday 5-Midnight, and Saturday Noon to 1am I believe. They will have food trucks most of the time as well. A big warehouse with a bar just to order from on one end, brewery equipment on the other. Picnic tables, arcade games, and jukebox. Depending on what is going on, they can get crowded and loud as you would expect for a warehouse. For me really only worth a trip on a Saturday, early afternoon. Much more low key.
Service is more attentive than Petrol, which is refreshing. Actually, really engaging when they have the time which has never been my experience at Petrol. About six house taps, and six guest taps from the likes of Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, and Dogfish Head. The house beers can definitely be considered "brash," as I am sure most people here are familiar with. I have just never been a huge fan of their beers. Either IPA's or big Imperial Stouts. For me, it is all overly bitter and one noted.
Overall, a good stop for a low key Saturday afternoon. They obviously have a niche, and for all intents and purposes they fit that niche well. I just wish they had more respect for variety and well crafted subtle styles, and not always having to revert to the "look at how Metal we are, everything has to be over the top." I guess that is just my opinion. I will say that understanding the Houston beer scene is incomplete without a visit to Brash or Petrol. Regardless of opinion.
