I checked out the One Barrel Brewing Company recently and had a great time. The space is nice, with a slick wooden bar to sit at. Simple decor and one flat screen tv to watch.
I went during happy hour and tried their Amber beer. I thought the beer was very well made and priced well. Properly poured into a frosted glass which is always good.
It is nice to see an establishment such as this in the Atwood neighborhood and I hope they stick around for awhile. I look forward to going back there and trying some of their other beers.

Cool store front brewery on the north side of Madison. Long straight bar on right hand wall seat about 20, with tables opposite tha bar around the perimeter. A dozen well-assorted beers on tap, I had the Emerge & C and it was very nice. Friendly, knowledgeable bartender. I did not try the food. (They were the third brewery in my Madison trifecta... add another glass to my collection.

Long bar with brick wall, eclectic art on was, neighbor hood feel with tight parking. Reminds me of Public Craft brewing in Kenosha. I liked the art on beer labels. Many too many IPAs for my taste on tap.

One Barrel Brewing Company has become one of my favorite Madison breweries. The ambiance is inviting, beer ever-rotating, and the service is always friendly!
OBBC bottles and cans thanks to contract brewing at Octopi, Potosi, and House of Brews, but still does the majority of rotating styles and single bbl brewing at the original brewery.
The two flagship brews (Penguin Pale Ale and Commuter Kolsch) are always in bottles and the only beers in cans. Bottles include; Banjo Cat -IBA, 5th Element - Rye IPA, Tiny Giant - Citra Saison, Behemoth - IIPA, Willie - Wee Heavy Scotch (22oz), and Breakfast Beer - Imp. Coffee Stout (22oz).
Get into OBBC and try all the beers! Go back the next day to see if they have put on a new one!
