Perfect clarity on this one. Nice amber brown color. Flavor is okay. Kind of an odd off-taste. After all this talk on the forums about quality concerns, I wish I knew how to better describe what I was experiencing. Anyways. It's a decent IPA. Doesn't seem quite right to me. Oh well. On to the next.

Paid $3.75 for the single. Feel I got ripped off since this is from PA...

A - A very dirty brown color, murky and kind of old ale looking with floaties. Head is pretty good a 1/4 inch that sticks around for a bit. Great lacing.
S - Earthy hops not very bitter smelling. Mostly malty so it could be old.
T - Not bad it's pretty balanced and somewhat bitter but it seems lacing like a pale ale.
M - Relatively smooth light to medium. Easy to drink

Overall their are better cheaper DIPA's I would rather have that are equally as smooth. Pick this up if your paying around 2 bucks for it.

Bottle > Mason Pint

A - Clear gold with a finger of white fizzy head, a few spots of lacing.
S - A little grassy, some spicy hops, citrus zest.
T - Earthy, and spicy hop flavor in this, some grass a little pine, grapefruit.
M - A little wattery but easily drinkable.
O - Decent IPA, would go good with pizza, just kind average.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a brownish/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of citrusy hops. Taste is not nearly as hoppy as the smell. It is well balanced, more caramel malts than I expected, some hop bitterness, very easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall us a solid beer.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark amber with thin, foamy, white head and some carbonation. Aroma is of bready malt, citrusy hops, caramel and ripe fruit. Body is full, chewy and tangy. Citrusy hops, caramel malt and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long, grapefruity. Nice, tasty, balanced IPA.

Another of my recent acquisitions while visiting the Knickerbocker Hotel in Altoona.

My pour resulted in just better than a finger of dense, creamy, tawny foam that slowly fell, leaving great lacing in its wake. Color was a deep-copper with NE-quality clarity. Nose smelled deeply of grapefruit. I hope that I never grow tired of that smell! Mouthfeel was medium and the taste was not equal to its smell. Instead, it had a prevalent biscuit malt flavor on the tongue that seemed to overwhelm the hops. That is not to say that it was not hoppy, just not as intense as on the nose. Finish continued to be fairly malty, more like an EIPA than an AIPA. It was not bad, per se, but not great for the style.
