Pours a mostly clear light amber color with a chill haze. White head forms and leaves plenty of lace. The aroma is full of caramel malts and stewed, herbal hops with a small floral note. In the taste, a well balanced brew between caramel and toasty malt notes and a firm hoppy bitterness that is floral and piney, slightly earthy at that. Bread and biscuit notes from the malt with perhaps a faint toffee flavor. Bittersweet, pretty standard red ale but also quite clean. Medium bodied feel with a light sting of carbonation, which is ample. Overall, an approachable red ale that is a welcome addition to my fridge.

Served on tap at Westline Inn, Westline PA.

Nice middle of the road sessionable red.

Thin white head of foam settles on top from a well poured tap. Beer color is a nice light red in color, very clear.

Malty, sweetish and caramelly, but still a good crispness to it that makes it not overbearing. Enjoyable, as I said, as a session beer.

Mouthfeel, I guess, maybe a little thin, but not so much so to make it too"light".

Appearance: light red in color, 1/3 inch head, clear, high carbonation

Smell: light toasted malt, caramel, light wood

Taste: sweet caramel, light woody flavor. toasted malt

Mouthfeel: light bodied, high carbonation, sweet start with a slightly bitter end

Overall: An above average nice and sweet beer. Nothing mind blowing, but very well executed. I would pick this up again.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a pretty amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, some caramel, a bit of an unusual, mustiness. Taste is hoppy, bitter, some grains, none of the caramel in the smell. Kind of mild, dry at the finish. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an ok beer, but nothing special.

I picked this up at Wegman's, enjoyed chilled in a pub style glass.

The color is deep amber with moderate haze hinting that it is unfiltered with thin off white cap with fine bead some wavy lace sticks. The smell has a moderately high amount of malt in the aroma, but generally low in yeast or hop esters with slight toasted grain scent. The feel is decent with moderate carbonation and slight creamy texture resulty up front with more dry maltiness in the middle and light bready texture with mild bitterness in the finish.

The flavor is good with mild toasted grain and light yeast elements in the initial taste. The flavor has nutty malt elements with gentle fruitiness in the yeast flavor. There is a subtle hop taste but not enough to really garner a descriptor other than bitter toward the end. Overall this is a standard red in the American Amber realm, pretty drinkable but just about average in every way - nothing really sets it apart in my opinion.

22 oz bottle. Pours amber with short lived white head and soda-like carbonation. Aroma is of noble hops, caramel malt and cherry. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Taste is very balanced and similar to aroma. Finish is long and spicy. Tasty, nicely balanced red.
