Picked up a bottle of this at the sunrise minimart.

Carbonation is pretty low, but it poured a slight head. Amber color, extremely clear.

Smells piney, hoppy. Not an overpowering smell

Taste is not overly bitter or overly sweet. You get the hops, but its really balanced actually. My favorite quality is the creaminess. Its super creamy and easy drinkable. There was no abv on the bottle so I'm pretty surprised this is a 9 pointer.

Definitly well crafted. At 8.99 a bottle not sure if I will revisit again soon though.

Lacking a bit for an imperial but otherwise, a good brew. Nice color, low on the hop aroma. Normal mouthfeel for a light IPA not for an IIPA. Could use a bit more thickness. Mellow hop presence but light enough for a TX summer night.

Keep up the good work Rogness.

not my favorite imperial ipa, thats for sure, and my first rogness beer is a poor one. this really looks pretty nice, dark amber in color, red for an ipa, with a massive fluffing of white head as light as a cloud and lasting pretty well. the nose is mostly bitterness with very little interesting hop character and a little more dense malt than it needs, which is odd, because this drinks rather watery. there is a strong metallic tinge on the nose and taste of this, particularly after the swallow, its to the point that its a little tough to drink and hurts my tummy. i do like the lightness of it, but the flavors just arent there. bitterness and minerals as it swallows, thin and bubbly, hefty enough though. a bomber was tough to take down, not because of the alcohol, which i think is respectably well hidden, but because it just doesnt taste very good. ill try something else or two before i write of the brewery though...

22 oz, Wheatsville Co-op in Austin, TX. $7.99 or so.

A: Darker brown. Light head with a copper tint. Solid.

S: Sweet syrup and pine, plain and simple. Malts, malts, malts. Surprisingly absent is the alcohol.

T: Sugar and syrup, with pine interjecting at the 3/4 mark. Almost exact the smell.

M: The shining star of this beer. Perfect mouthfeel. Thick and syrup. A model for DIPAs.

O: Very strange, but it works. Less sweetness would be nice. Certainly unusual, but I think a few months would do this beer well.
