A-Rich, off-white head, brownish-red amber, and very nice lacing.
S-Rich toasted malt, light grape, caramel and toffee, faint hops.
T-Sweet rich malt blends w/grape up-front. Raisin and other esters, and a bready, caramel backbone w/light hops in the finish.
M-Medium-bodied w/light light-to-moderate carbonation. Very clean, especially in the finish, and well-balanced.
D-Refreshing and easy to drink.

Simple, clean, and clear red ale. Nice red body with a thin off white head. Aroma and flavor profile is straight forward consisting mostly of caramel with some light breadiness. Faint hoppy finish. Well balanced and appropriately carbonated. Sessionable.

On tap at the Grumpy Troll Brew Pub.

Poured a medium amberish color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel and a little fruity. Tastes of caramel, fruitiness, and some breadiness. This one was on the sweeter side.

22 oz bomber poured into imperial pint glass. Appearance is a brilliant clear gold with a thin layer of white head that dissipates quickly. The beer leaves a bit of sticky lacing. Aroma begins with aromatic bready malts, notes of delicate caramel come next, then some earthy hop character towards the finish. The taste is malt forward with all the bready components present up front. Things get herbal towards the finish with low to moderate bitterness. The beer tastes as if it is underhopped as their isn't enough bitterness to cut through the malts. The result is an earthy herbal tea like quality that isn't quite working for me. Mouthfeel is light and well carbonated.

This beer has a medium-thin off-white head and medium amber color. The aroma is a bit subdued, some hints of caramel, but otherwise kind of weak. The flavor makes up for the weak nose, as there is a nice balance between spicy hop flavor and caramel, toasty malts with a moderate hop bitterness. The carbonation is medium and body moderate. Overall a decent brew, not my favorite offering of theirs.
