On nitro tap at Bravery Brewing in Lancaster, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, lactose, and coffee aromas. Taste is much the same with burnt cocoa and coffee flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a coffee presence that is more noticeable in the taste, but it has a burnt quality there.
