A new wine and beer bistro in the Oak Forest area. In a shopping center right next to a Kruger. As I walk in there is an L shaped granite bar that goes along the back. Tables up front and a patio outside. Very open with lots natural light coming in.
The service is above average. Knowledgeable and nice. Though it is only bar service, which seems to confuse some people. I actually like that, but it takes a little bit to get noticed by the bartenders sometimes. The food takes forever to come out as well. Speaking of which they have a fairly large menu. Anything from mussels to gourmet burgers and pizzas, steaks etc. I had some mussels which sounded great, but were a bit sub par.
On to the beer. 10 taps that rotate. Saint Arnold Endeavor, 512, some Brooklyn, Stone, etc all rotate in and out. About 30 bottles that range from Belgians to German offerings. They have some Jester King bottles like Mad Meg as well. A worthy beer selection.
Overall a nice little place to stop and have a beer. The prices are a bit high, especially the food. I do want to try some more of the food next time cause it all looks good. A place that is worth a visit if on this side of town.
