This is a real gem of a beer, I don't really have much to say because this is not a terribly fancy beer, but it's one where I find myself constantly reaching for it because the balance of malt and hops in this one is just masterfully done. You can make a complex masterpiece, or you can fail horribly doing it, but it's also very tricky to do very well something that is extremely simple. This is why chef's, when testing another chef, ask for something like scrambled eggs, or an omelette. It's pure technique and minimal ingredients, with a very high variance of outcome.

That's how I feel drinking this-- as if I've tasted a really exceptionally well done scrambled egg, by a real master. This beer is just so refreshing yet so robust for how refreshing it is, that contrast again of bitterness and sweetness and simplicity and body/complexity, makes it something I never tire of ever since I first tried it. There's a tang, there's a savory quality, but mostly sweet malted notes and mostly bitterness from the hops but a hint of floral. It's actually not as simple as I thought at the start of this review-- it can be deceptively complex, but that's what makes it such an interesting and satisfying beer

12oz can.
L: Clear, bronze colour with a short-lived head and spotty lacing.
S: Apple cider and brown sugar.
T: Sweet malt with soft bitterness.
F: Medium body and a decent slick.
O: Very solid, old skool APA. On the malty side, which makes a pleasant change. At 5.6%, not really a beach beer but just about sessionable.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a conical pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy, dark golden color with a one finger, white head, sudsy rim retention, and moderate rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of fruit (maybe peach, lemon, and lime) and caramel.
T: More semisweet more than semidry. Lightly flavored with the fruit elements of the nose, caramel flavors favored in the mix. Light bitterness and little aftertaste.
M: Light bodied with solid, perststent carbonation. Thirst quenching
O: A nicely composed and executed light APA. A sessional ale that is good for drinking and relaxing.

Light fresh nose with a hint of wheat and lemon and a medium golden color and rocky white head. Runny lacing follows the first sip which is well balanced and refreshing. Finishes a hint bitter and piney. Very tasty. Crisp body and quality drinkability here. Not incredibly exciting but definitely worth a try.
