What can i say this is my go to place for all the rare hard to find stuff.. These guys have welcomed me with open arms since day one and always are pulling rare and amazing beers out of the back for customers to try. There selection is ridiculous. All types of beers ice cold in there fridges.. Mike is the man and all the other guys are always willing to help you out with what ever style of beers you like. Great glassware section also. I don't mind driving 40 mins each way to come to this place. Go check them out if your in southern California you wont be disappointed. (574 characters)

Ordered online. Gigantic selection, helped me out with a large order, good guys. The only drawback I could find to this place is the price . If you live across the country its fine to pay for things you can't find around, but I'm not sure I would be visiting this place if I lived locally. (290 characters)

I really like this place because it carries all of my favorite craft beer brands but also carries regular beer(sometimes you gotta drink a 40). The workers there are always very nice, and the one guy with the long red beard is very knowledgable. He turned me on to some local brews from Hangar 24 and they are now my favorite brewery! I highly recommend this place and I tell all my friends about it, a gem in the middle of El Monte! (433 characters)

It's awesome to see a family place with brothers working together, you don't see a lot of that lately. Beer selection was great, lots of rare and hard to find beers as well as the local classics. I've been shopping there for over tow years now, they've yet to let me down. (272 characters)

I have been dealing with these guys for a few years now. They have always been a pleasure to deal with and have a great selection of beers. I tend sometimes to have to curb my beer spending cause they always have stuff I want. They are one of my preferred spots to buy from. Knowledgable and friendly with an awesome selection. (331 characters)

They had a pretty nice selection, but the place was way too disorganized and cramped. Pretty sure they were violating a bunch of codes, but not uncommon in the L.A. area.
I just walked in, looked around, then walked out. Didn't get greeted entire time I was in there. (267 characters)

Best online shipping prices in the market place! Best online order processing in the market place! Best online selection in the market place! Best customer experience in the market place! Very knowledgeable and professional staff! Thanks for all the great beers I was able to enjoy myself and share with so many others! Without Craft Beer Kings this would have not been possible!
Cheers! (392 characters)

The only reason its not 5s across the board is because its in a part of town I wouldn't want to be left alone at night in, it has a very Kwik-E-Mart exterior, and the bulletproof glass divider. Selection is top notch, knowledge is even better. The real gems are what they carry behind the divider if you're willing to strike up some conversation. Whales bro. If you're not kicking it with Moe, then you're not really in the game! (433 characters)

Stopped in the weekend of March 6th.
A friend and I were coming into LA for a bottle release and to visit a few breweries for the weekend. We stopped here as it was on the way down and we've both wanted to visit and check out their selection.

Exterior was not what I was expecting. It looked like a mini mart and nothing you'd expect to find a decent selection of craft beer in. There was plenty of empty boxes laying around outside and trash along the entrance.

Interior was crowded, cluttered with mini mart types of items (gum, candy, etc.) and aisles of food. The last two aisles were reserved for glassware, wine, and coolers of beer. Some beers and extra stock were also displayed behind the protective glass check out counter.

Staff was friendly and nice. There were no public restrooms on site but they were understanding in our just arrive after a four drive and kindly let us use the employee restroom behind the counter. Staff was courteous in looking up prices for me on some unmarked bottles I was interested in as well as letting us know if there was any specialty bottles we were looking for available behind the counter.

Selection was not what I had come to expect in my head. With a title of "Craft Beer Kings" on Instagram I was hoping to see floor to ceiling selection and several aisles of beer to keep me busy wondering for hours. Most of the bottles were kept in cold storage. However the selection appeared limited for a California specialty beer store. Prices seemed fair and only a few items I noticed were priced $1-2 higher than other places I'd seen.

Overall, staff was nice. Place was uncomfortable and crowded and selection seemed lacking and misleading from pictures I'd seen. I take time out of my travel to pull off here in the future any time soon, but if you're in the area it may be worth checking out. (1,845 characters)

I visited Plaza Market for the first time today being in the area. Knowing Craft Beer Kings reputation from the forums here, this review is from an in-person visit perspective. From the outside barring signs that say they sell craft beer, you wouldn't think they have a large selection.

A lot of their beers are refrigerated (kudos to them!) in coolers towards the back. I did see some beers on shelves. I thought the selection was very diverse and solid. You have a representative sample of beers from Belgium, Germany, and craft beers being distributed in SoCal. I didn't strike up a conversation with anyone at the store, so who knows if they had any special offerings or rarities in the back or behind the counter.

The cashier area is walled off with a plexiglass partition like you see at a bank which kinda throws off a bad vibe. They did have beers on shelves behind the partition. I did a quick peek but didn't see any rarities.

I thought the pricing was okay, generally market pricing.

If you're in the area, they do have solid selection, and is definitely worth a visit. (1,091 characters)

Having been into craft beer for several years now and being a Los Angeles County native, it is only recently that I've learned of Plaza Market and the vast selection of rare, choice beer offerings they have. From Russian River, Cascade Brewing, Bruery to Cantillon - just to name a few, you'll invariably find something you're looking for. I dropped by today in-person to fulfill my online order and was offered a rare Belgian Kriek Lambic Bio, which I instantaneously scooped up. Thanks for the hook-up, Sam. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help you find the beer you're looking for. A spot-on craft beer shop in my humble opinion. (640 characters)

This place is awesome. They have a pretty large selection of beers, proper glassware, t shirts and knowledgable employees. I actually found out about this place on Instagram and I'm glad I did. The last time I was there I picked up some Almanac sours. I will definitely be coming back soon. (290 characters)

Mostly positive experiences (all online through craftbeerkings). Had some confusion with getting a refund when the wrong beer was shipped. Have been able to get some beers I haven't found elsewhere. Would like to see the bottle limit policy changed. Makes sense to limit so others can get some to but 1 bottle limits when dealing with shipping too is a pain. Maybe make it in the 2 to 6 range? (394 characters)

Lots of beer but poorly organized and quite a few duplicates in other sections. It's definitely a great place but it's not for me. I couldn't find anything I really wanted to take back to the east coast with me. (212 characters)

This is a regular stop for me when I'm looking for specific bottles. I am very lucky to be local. All the guys (Mike, Moe, et. al) at Plaza are helpful and knowledgable. They take great care of their customers and can answer nearly any questions about beer. The best in the area, for sure. (289 characters)

This is the place to go for all of your craft beer needs in the San Gabriel Valley! I've been coming here for a while now and have never been dissappointed with the service or the selection. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, but the two that really stand out are Moe and Mike. Awesome dudes! The prices are very reasonable oh and did i mention that they ship to other states?! Check em out at craftbeerkings.com or follow them on instagram @craftbeerkings to stay updated on their stock

What a hidden gem buried in the, umm, neighborhoods of LA. I honestly thought I was at the wrong place when I pulled up as it basically looks like a quick-e-mart in the Hispanic community.

So much great west coast stuff to be found here that I almost had to buy a second suitcase. Be sure to ask for Moe - he was super helpful and offered some stuff behind the counter that I never expected to get. About 3 isles of fantastic, quality stuff. (443 characters)

One of the best bottle shops in California! Amazing selection and very friendly knowledgeable staff. Shipping deals are great for folks like me that don't have the opportunity to visit the shop. World class shop! These guys really know what they are doing. (256 characters)

I first visited Plaza Market roughly two years ago while visiting family and friends in SoCal. While I was poking around looking for a few things to shove in my suitcase on the way back to Indy, I got the opportunity to meet with Moe. We made craft beer small talk for quite awhile before he pulled out some limited brew from behind the counter and sent me on the way. I still to this day keep in contact with Moe and swing by Plaza Market whenever I'm in town. I do believe that Moe has curated one of the best craft beer selections in San Gabriel Valley/Los Angeles county. I would suggest anyone to stop by and check out Plaza Market. You won't be disappointed. (664 characters)

The secret to a loyal customer base is no secret at all: Great customer service will bring them back every time. The crew at Plaza Market (craftbeerkings.com) is the best in the business when it comes to great customer service. Thanks to Moe, living in the Midwest (Minnesota) doesn't mean I have to go without all the crazy good brews being produced on the West Coast. His extensive knowledge and willingness to seek out whatever I'm looking for makes this my go to for anything beer related. Did I also mention that @craftbeerkings is also on Instagram? Check these guys out....they never disappoint! (602 characters)

I had the opportunity to visit Plaza Market while I was in town for the MLS Cup. They helped me pick out some Awsome beers to bring back home to Texas. They have a huge selection and great customer service, I recommend any one that goes to L.A. to make that short drive to El Monte and check them out. Can't wait to go back. In the mean while I keep up with them and follow them on Instagram @craftbeerkings. (408 characters)

I had a chance to check this place out when I was in town. I have been following them on Instagram for some time now and wanted to meet the team in person. They were extremely welcoming and made me feel like we had been friends for years. I started looking around and I was floored by the sheer selection they had. If you can't find a beer you like here your not a beer drinker...period. This will be a must stop anytime I'm in town. (433 characters)

Despite living in Chicago, Plaza Market (craftbeerkings.com) has been my go-to place for trying all of the great beers that California has to offer, especially those that are not available in the Midwest due to distribution limitations. Their prices are fair and shipping is available across the country which is very hard to come by, especially given their amazing selection. Plaza Market provides a unique opportunity to obtain very limited/rare releases and they give everyone a fair shake at obtaining a bottle. Their staff are some of the most friendly, well versed craft beer fans in the industry so I always enjoy conversing with the team. I also look forward to their Instagram posts (@craftbeerkings) to see what's new that I should be considering. Whether you are local to the Los Angeles area or from out of town using the web, pay them a visit and you won't be disappointed. (886 characters)
