Had out of the can into a pint. Light straw color on this with a white head and good lacing. Not a very strong aroma, some light malts. Taste is a lot like a hoppy pilsner, kind of like Prima Pils. Gentle cracker malts and some bitter hops that have some grassiness and a bit of juice. A nice summer ale, indeed.

Extremely refreshing. This is a great choice for sitting by the pool, hanging out at a BBQ or chilling with friends at happy hour. Looks and acts like a pale lager but without adjunct garbage getting in the way. Malt qualities are expressed well, hints of grassiness and a Pilsner like finish. This is a session friendly beer that I recommend to people who like to fuss over beer and to people who have never fussed over beer.

12oz can. Pours a slightly murky burnt yellow color with 2 inches of thick head. Some lacing. The aroma is a bit fruity with some stone fruits and light citrus. A hint of sourness. The taste is bready, lightly toasted malts at first followed by some light fruity hops. Lemon and grapefruit. Nice bitter finish. Lots of carbonation and a bit dry. Not much of an alcohol presence. Overall, pretty solid beer that I will probably grab again.

Enjoyed this on a hot humid day. Perfect to beat the heat. Just enough juicy hop flavor to please the taste buds but modest enough to make this a good crushable summer beer

A: Pours a hazy yellow. Large two fingers of off white head. Nice retention. Lacing is sporadic.

S: Zesty. Sweet. Fruity. Grains. Yeast and malts.

T/M: Creamy and buttery. Smooth. Crackers. Grains. Sweet. Fruits. Citric. Interesting mix of hops. Bitterness is light but more upfront than most Blonde Ales. Tangy. Light bodied. Balanced but hops are most noticeable.

O: Nice easy drinking Blonde Ale. Has an interesting mix of flavors. Worth a try. Nothing outstanding.

Cheers!

A-Pours an illuminated, hazy yellow hue. Small head, sample cup doesn't take kindly to lacing.

S-Not your normal Summer seasonal. This one has a vibrant, fruity/sweet nose of tropical hops and cracker malt. Hop forward but not intense.

T-More fruity hops that give off hints of pineapple and soft citrus. Sweet, doughiness rounded out by a hopped spice. The Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra trio really makes for some loopy flavors!

M-Sessionable. One small sample was not enough. Light bodied, tingly and relaxed bitterness.

O/D-A cool intro to Back East. I would love to pick up some cans of this for a beach trip or other Summer shenanigans.

Growler from Brewery: This one pours a hazy golden yellow color. there was a bit of a white head that left some lacing. The aroma is good. A bit more hops than your typical summer brew. Subdued citrus hops with some lighter fruit malt notes. The taste is also good. Actually a hint of bitterness. Citrus hops and a hint of pineapple. A hint of spiciness. Some pale malt flavors. A very nice summer brew.

This beer really surprised me! One of the best summer ales I've had.
L: a clean, bright golden color. Thick, creamy white head that leaves a sticky, broad lacing.
S: bright and hoppy at first, I definitely smell the galaxy and the citra and sumcoe are there subtly. As the beer warms the malt and yeast really dominate the nose. It smells like sour dough.
T: again, the Galaxy hops shine up front. Really nice lemon citrus met with pineapple and other tropical flavors. Very bready finish, which adds a nice sweetness that really helps the feel.
F: dry then sweet. Really crisp carbonation that compliments the early hop bite.
O: Back East is making some very impressive beers without the fanfare that many of the other Connecticut get. This is a very nice beer and will likely become a summer staple in my fridge.
