Appearance - A nice medium brown to dark light absourbing goodness, excelent for the beer

Smell - Not much here besides mild hops maybe noble style. I wish there was a bit more to get.

Taste - Initial flavor is too complex and not pleasant but within a second a coffee and nut taste hits. It sticks around as well.

Mouthfeel - That aftertaste with carbonation is a great match and enjoyable for a evening drink.

Overall - A good beer just wish the smell and inital flavor were improved. I will have it again though (518 characters)

The beer pours a very dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is full of toffee and caramel with some lightly toasted malt and cocoa notes. A very nice smelling beer. The flavor is made up of a lot of roasted malt and cocoa. I also get some toffee, grass and earth notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. (323 characters)

Very good Dunkel, they have great water quality and that really enhances the taste of this beer. I enjoy it for lighter beer. (126 characters)

Pours out a dark nutty brown with a solid head. Smells of clean yeast, dark malts, and roasted/toasted malts. Tastes like mocha, caramel, and toffee with a clean yeast. Foamy carbonation with a medium-light body. This is a tasty dark lager. (244 characters)

12 oz bottle pours a dark brown color with a creamy cap of tan head. Decent retention and some nice connecting sheets of lace.

Nose is nutty and chocolaty, a bit like Nutella actually. Fairly sweet and lacks roast or coffee, pretty nice smelling brew here.

Nice flavor profile too...sweetness is tangible but not overboard and the chocolate flavors are really nice. There is still a bit of nutty, caramel character too. The mouthfeel is a treat; rich and creamy for a lager and the carbonation is really fine-bubbled. Fits the style profile fairly well, but also has a bit of a milk stout aspect to it as well. After a bad introduction to Pedernales (the IPA), the Texas Lager and Negro Lobo have impressed me enough to pick up a sixer next time I see it around. (764 characters)
