Appearance:
Light blond color with a nice thin white head that’s very dense and creates an equally dense wall of lacing.
Smell:
Malts mixed with light grassy and herbal smells and a mild fruity undertone come through.
Taste:
Malts mixed in with lemon zest and even a little orange, some bitterness become present in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel:
Clean crisp and revitalizing, the carbonation really makes you want to take another sip, the alcohol content is well hidden.

Light and golden, fair head and lace, ample carbonation.

Taste is a bit sweet with grassy notes and light hops, a slightly slick finish. Herbal notes also take a turn.

I am liking this brewery, especially their exceptionally pound-able IPA, but I'm not all that impressed with this lager. It's not bad, but I think Perdenales has some better ones. Still, always happy to try something from a good tx brewery like this one.

Appearance: Slightly hazy, with a very light body, similar in appearance to pear juice. The head is moderate, off-white and fairly dense and retains well. There is a modest amount of slow-rising carbonation, the lacing is scattered and patchy.

Aroma: Lots of cooked grain in the aroma, as well as grassy hops, and some slight mineral notes.

Taste: Opens with a solid, lightly toasted malt presence, with biscuit flavors being notable. There is a strong presence of grassy and slightly spicy hops. Towards the end of the taste, the hops intensify a bit, assuming an herbal bitterness, which lingers on well past the end of the taste.

Mouth feel: Soft, fairly full, with moderate zesty carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: Pleasant and drinkable, but not particularly memorable.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce brown glass long neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

LIght golden color in the glass. Average head and carbonation. This is a perfectly drinkable lager with no particular points of interest. A little aroma reminiscent of honey. Some cracker flavor. A slight graininess.

Somewhat more sweet than many American-style lagers, but maybe that's not bad since there does seem to be some actual malt flavor here. A slight bitterness for the finish but not much actual hop flavor or aroma. Pretty inoffensive. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Texas Wine Cellars in Fredericksburg, TX.

Pours a medium gold to almost red tint. Smells of the usual hop and malt like that of a red or amber ale. Nothing special but looking to be a good session beer. Flavor is hoppy with little sweetness from the malt. It shines on mouthfeel with good carbonation for a long lasting satisfaction. Overall an ok beer would buy a six pack for a bbq

12 oz bottle pours a clear, light gold color with a fizzy white head. Not much for retention and lace..very macro looking beer.

Nose is honeyed, wet grains with a pretty substantial sweetness. Smells just ok, more like what it is supposed to be than the Pedernales IPA, thats fo sho.

Taste is pleasant graininess with a mild hop cleansing on the finish. The malt is really crisp and fresh-crushed tasting. I am surprised...pretty tasty little lager here. Id compare it to a German helles maybe. Id actually go for this again, I find myself astounded to be saying.

Pedernales' Lobo Texas Lager has a lovely light golden body and clean white foam.

The nose is what one would expect from a quality American lager: hints of pepper and floral notes from the mild hops, some bread and grains, light sweetness.

The beer is a pleasure on the tongue: The carbonation is not too harsh and some movement around the tongue produces a lovely foam.

The first draft is pleasant. The lager yeast provides the beer's main flavor. This beer is slightly more full-bodied and slightly more sour than most American lagers. This yeasty flavor works well with the beer's light malt and bitter hang.

Lobo Texas Lager is not as crisp as other American lagers, but it does stand out slightly for its unique yeast-driven flavors, pleasant mouthfeel, and lingering bitterness. Nice.

The beer pours a very clear yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is full of grain, with some wheat and a little bit of grass thrown in. The flavor is very similar. I get a lot of biscuit malt and grain notes, with a little bit of toffee. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. This is a fairly straightforward, one-dimensional beer. However, there is nothing offensive going on and it is refreshing and easy to drink.
