330 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep brown. Small khaki head. Thick collar.

Smell - Hmm. Soy sauce. A bit acidic. Some cherry. Wood. Dark malts.

Taste - Tart. Very malty. Caramel and dark malts. Has less, but a bit, of that soy sauce. Woody.

Mouthfeel - Medium heavy. Medium carbonation. Moderate sourness.

Overall - Crazy, like all BFM beers.

Aroma of cherries, tart vinous, oak, spices. Taste woody sourness, red wine, dark fruit, cherries. Not a typical Eisbock but nice!

Poured a brown body with one finger head that died slow and left minimal lace.
The smell is slightly boozy but really a dark fruit presence like plums and raisins, along with hints of figs and dark fruit sweetness in the aroma as well.
The beer is thick and full bodied yet retains its easy drinking smoothness.
Flavor profile, like the aroma, is mostly dark fruits with plums and raisins being the main components and then you get touches of figs and dark fruits, notably black cherry, for some sweetness that adds balance to the beer.
Not the most alcoholic, sweet, filling eisbock but a very good beer to have.

Touch of banana in aroma, deeply caramelized. Flavor is sour, acetic. Definitely nothing to do with an eisbock, but a nice sour.

This pours almost black with a 1 inch head of off white foam. Great lacing.

The smell is of sour fruits and a boozy aroma coming from the rum barrels.

Mildly sour with some dark fruits, warming and taste from the rum barrel aging, I kike this offering from BFM.

Medium body and carbonation.

No gusher here and that's a good thing. This is good enough to be unhappy if any was lost..

Bottle from HomeBrewStuff. Pricy but I like eisbocks and this is my first Swiss beer. Aroma is heady and sharp, indicating pretty well what you're about to get into to. Wine like smell, leads to sharp, sweet and sour tastes, sweet malts overwhelm, sour tang provides abrupt finish. Pretty tame at 9%, but a good rendition of the style. Nice late evening sipper.
