On tap at Birch:
Extremely smooth. Perfect sour taste (not too overpowering yet not mild either). Very easy drinker. Absolutely delicious. Will make a sour fan of anybody. 4.3
On tap at the Birch.
A - A dark amber color and cloudy.
S - Rich, sour, orange smells. Very robust.
T - Powerful and explosive flavors.
M - Terroir? You bet.
Overall - If you love sour beers, you will love this. If you don't, you will likely still appreciate it. Sours are an acquired taste, and this one is well done. Not my favorite stylew, but wow. 4.15

Sampled from a 750 bottle purchased at The Beer Dispensary in Apex, NC. It was recommended to me by a friend in Belgium. 2012 with 8 notched out.
A - Deep copper with a hazy finish and a limited white head. A slow but steady rise of fine bubbles.
S - Wonderful tart and sour notes with some additional depth of oak, fruit and spices. Very inviting.
T - Loads of sour/tart flavors with great maturity, depth and variation. It's intense but not biting or harsh in any way. You get something different in every sip. The 11% alcohol is incredibly well hidden.
M - Good body with good substance yet it flows smoothly. A low to moderate carbonation.
O - A complex and intriguing beer! So glad I tried it.
