Consumed on 4/23/2010- from notes.
Never had a Swiss beer so here we go!
Brown swing top bottle as pictured poured into a pint glass.
A- Almost but not quite pitch black, dark brown around the edges and when held up to the light topped off with a thin light tan head that faded pretty quick to a ring around the glass. Some lacing.
S- Picked up alot of malts, tea and maybe a little coffee.
T- Nothing really dominated the flavor to me at first, just hints of malty bitter chololate, a touch sweet, a little spicy bite which I'm assuming is the pepper, and tea. As it warmed the tea got more pronounced.
M- Medium bodied, it was a little thinner than I expected.
D- Pretty drinkable despite the ABV, I'm just not a huge tea fan so it got a little old towards the end. Probably wont look for it again.

Poured at the wonderful Duckworth's - Park Rd - Charlotte, NC... all drafts $3.50 today!
It pours very dark brown with little to no head or lacing. The nose is toasty - pleasant to look at and smell, but the taste is a letdown - especially after the amazing brews I recently tried by them in VA @ Mekong. It's thinner than an imperial stout should be - very much a flat cola thing going on. It won't sour me on this brewery.
