On tap at Mugs in Brooklyn. Poured into 10oz glass. pours a ruby/brownish color with aslight thin head. Very very sour aromas...In fact, I didnt even know it was a Weizenbock until now...but it seems like they added some wild yeast to this brew. lthough according to what I read, its a blend of an IPA and a weizenbock with coffee added...I dont really get that at all.
Really funky, fruity, woody, earthy. Taste is smooth sweet funky sour. I really taste a bit of wood with this also. Its a fantastic brew - the earthy notes really balance the "sour" on this.

Poured a golden tinted brown body with solid one-finger head on top of an aroma that is pretty yeast/wheat twangish, along with spicy hops, but the coffee beans do come out. First thing that hits me is the slight stickiness and sweetness of this beer, but that is quickly overpowered by a medium-bodied beer that is smooth thanks to yeast and has a pronounced coffee malt edge (I guess the barley malt could contribute to this dry edge as well). The hops and spices come into play and make for both an interesting balance and dynamic as well, and this beer seems to have a little bit of everything (hopiness, bitterness, sweetness, even a touch of sourness as it warms). Crisp and dry finish of both spicy, bitter hops and coffee malt only seems to drive this point home. This beer is all over the place but that's not a negative and while not my favorite would recommend to anyone to try it.

On tap at Kickbacks in Jax. Poured into a small snifter. Big, fluffy light beige head, high retention, on a murky copper body. Sudsy, sticky lacing. Aroma includes a sweet malt base, some tart De Dolle yeasty esters, some white peppery spice, maybe a touch of brown sugar. Taste follows suit with some green apple notes. Not picking up coffee in the nose or taste. Tasty beer as long as you are not expecting any traditional flavors of a weizenbock and are prepared for traditional bfm tartness.

Served in a tulip glass at the Holy Grale in Louisville, KY.

A - Apricot color, orange/red. Full inch of off white head. Great amount of lacing stuck to the top of the high brew mark- dies slowly.

S - Citrus, grapefruit, wheat, floral, slight biscuit. But...no coffee.

T - Certainly a grapefruit/hefe. starts with a citrus punch, very quickly transitions into a thick wheaty hefe-weizen. 7.5 ABVs are fully hidden.

M - Viscosity is high. hefe gives bold wheat taste that lingers into a citrus flavor.

O - I really like the IPA/Hefe. Grapefruit wheat was delicious. very drinkable. but... i didn't taste or smell any coffee tho. that being said....i would buy this again.

On tap at Max's (where else?). Listed as a coffee infused weizenbock.

The beer pours a slight hazy, tannish amber color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is pretty unusual, with some coffee, light sour, a hint of cinder block, clove and underlying spice. The flavor profile largely replicates the nose, with the coffee, clove and light orange citrus seeming to dominate. There's also some banana and clove in the finish as well, which is intriguing. Really a lot going on in this beer. Mouthfeel is medium bodied at most, with a long, coffee, clove and spiced infused finish. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, and alcohol is barely an after thought.

There's almost too much going on in this beer, but regardless, this is another impressive effort from BFM.
