'Fuggles' and 'Challenger' hops plus a blend of 4 local barley malts create an aromatic, robust, dark chocolate cream stout with a satisfying bittersweet aftertaste. Brewed with skill and patience in one of Britain's finest small breweries.
St. Peter's Brewery is located in a medieval hall in a remote and beautiful corner of Suffolk. There our beers begin their lives deep below the brewery with water drawn from a pure source - as it has been for over 700 years, essential for the full flavour and pure character of all St. Peter's beers.
Our beautiful flask-shaped oval bottle is a faithful copy of one produced c. 1770 for Thomas Gerrard of Gibbstown, just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. The original is now kept at St. Peters Hall and is a rare example of an oval Eighteenth Century beer bottle.

I got this at a German Restaurant in a mall down in Greensboro, NC. Wow, this was tasty. Poured a beautiful dark color with a head that disappeared quickly but left a nice lacing. This tasted wonderful with just the right mix of chocolate, coffee flavor. It finished well and had a little bit of a crisp finish.
I loved this so much I had to go get another bottle! I would definately get this wonderful stout cream again!

Smooth. Creamy.
Pours v dark. Khaki head.
Smells malty sweet. I don’t smell any coffee but a little vanilla.
Smooth taste. Malty and roasty but not smoky or burnt or syrupy.
Nice mouthfeel.
Overall quite a good, smooth stout. Probably not worth the additional cost over a Guinness, but very enjoyable as a beer.

Look: Poured from a pint bottle bought at a craft beer store. Dark black pour from the bottle with a little head risen to the surface. A little bit of lacing happening as the foam dissolves over time. Can see some carbonation at the bottom of the glass.
Smell: Smelling big aromas of chocolate. A lot of chocolate followed by hints of coffee. Not smelling much vanilla as stated on the bottle. Has a metallic smell as if pouring a Guinness beer. A lot of Irish beers for some reason have a metallic smell to it.
Taste: Tastes like a more chocolatey Guinness actually. Getting the taste of chocolate, malts, followed by subtle hints of coffee. Can't taste the alcohol in this one. Very well hidden. Very nice!
Feel: Medium to heavy bodied. Definitely some carbonation on the tongue for this one.
Overall: I wanted to try this beer for months and finally bought it from the store. It reminds me of a Guinness extra stout with a shot of chocolate in the mix. Nothing to crazy about this beer but it is very good and I can see myself buying this again in the future. Very well done!

Pours a frothy creamy rich 1 finger tan head great retention and sticky lacing, very dark molasses brown color with a touch of light coming through
Nose roasty coffee, dark chocolate, dry powdered cocoa and coffee grounds, creamy condensed milk and cocoa blend, plenty of lactose, a little caramel, a touch of baking spice
Taste brings more creamy stout notes, a bit of cocoa, dark chocolate, some roast and burnt coffee, over cooked condensed sweetened milk, a bit of caramel, char, fair bitterness from roast and a bit of earthy hop, a bit of a sticky finish, lingering bitterness
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, fair creamy, carb on the lower end but typical for a British beer
Overall not bad, classic cream stout from England, a bit on the char burnt side but not overly, fair lactose condensed milk like, decent beer

Pours black and a medium tan head and some decent lacing.
Tastes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, plums up front with mild lactose mixed in. There is also mild, bitter hops throughout along with a dry-ish aftertaste. Nice.

Review: 500ml bottle of St. Peters Cream Stout: 6.5% vol.
Coming in a really lovely oval bottle, looks vintage and has an authentic old feel to it, looks like its a hard liquor bottle. Logo of a black crow and a key, what does it all mean? Very interesting.
On the pour I am getting a pitch black colour, as you would expect from a stout, and a nice enough creamy tan head appearing. The head looks like caramel. Solid look overall.
A lot of lacing is present, intermittent and not in rings.
Getting a real porter smell on the nose, but its very faintish and not much to smell at all. Smoky and peaty, roasted malts, milk chocolate all noted but light, very light. On their site they called it an aromatic beer, but hell I didn’t detect a whole lot. Disappointing start.
Onto the taste then and sure enough like all English ales types and strong bitters it is bloody strong, very strong. Getting a typical porter taste, very strong dark coffee flavours, roasted malts, a touch of vanilla and a creamy chocolate taste on the tongue. Yeah very strong with the coffee, especially in the after taste.
Found it awful to drink, not nice, very deep tasting and overly bitter, the hops to the extreme. Not enjoyable at all, urgh.
Very coffee centric, not well balanced at all. Coffee, coffee, coffee, basically. Yuck, again!
A tough one to drink, wasn’t smooth or very drinkable but heh I will get hate for this, but I don’t have the English stomach for their bitters and “stouts”. I am Irish with a softer palate, so they can suck it up all they like, ha ha.
Someone online mentioned this as “a precursor of a Black IPA”, I would have to say that’s actually a good call. It feels and tastes like that to me.
Horrible. End of…

Tiene una espuma densa de buena retención. Cuerpo y carbonatación media. Aroma a chocolate, vainilla y malta. En boca es muy equilibrada y tiene un retrogusto ligeramente amargo muy agradable.
