Served cold from 500ml bottle into straight pint glass.
A) Black and opaque. Had a fairly lively tan head at first that disappeared quickly, leaving a thin film with a little lacing.
S) I drink stout cold, so not getting a lot. Smells fairly alcoholic, smells fairly light for a 6.5% stout (hey, that is strong in England!)
M) Light carbonation, in line with the norms of the style. Being cold it is fairly refreshing. Goes down very easy for 6.5%.
T) Very light for the strength. Slight coffee hints. No bitterness to speak off. Very light aftertaste. Just not a lot to write about.
O) In two minds on how to write this up. This is like a very good version of Guinness, with no real flaws. Goes down super easy. My criticism would be: does it have to be 6.5% to achieve that? Buy it if you are a general stout fan, you will enjoy it without being blown away. If you are an stout fan from England looking for our equivalent of Founders et al., this is nowhere near.

Clear dark red-brown; nearly opaque. good head and lacing.
Aroma: complex and highly appealing. Approaches 9.
Flavor: mildly sweet; great balance; lingering taste of dark chocolate and dark roasted malts. No burnt elements.
Feel: medium body with good, low carbonation.
