Thanks to Sharpski for this one. Cork and caged 750 ( dated 5/8/2019. 1 of 311 bottles total) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a very hazy/cloudy goldish-yellow color with an inch of white head that had moderate retention and no lacing.

Upon popping the cork, a huge blast of peach burst out of the bottle. in the glass, the fruit blended with some wild, spicy funk upfront, with solid oak hiding in the background.

On the tongue, the funk took over, along with his friend tartness. Very light grain, peach, and oak were still there, but pushed far back on the palate.

The body was light, crisp, tart, and had a dry, fruity finish that lingered nicely.

Drinkability was very good, but it still took a while to solo this bottle.

Overall, another great brew fro AA. If you happen to see this, grab it.

750ml bottle of the second batch. Bottled 05/08/2019, 11.29% ABV, 311 bottles produced. Aged 18 months in Oregon Spirit Distillery dark rum barrels on top of fresh white peaches from Thomas Orchards + 6 months in the bottle.

L: Pours a cloudy straw color with decent white head but not much lacing from the head but there is quite a bit as I drink down the glass.
S: Light peach but very clean peach flavor. There is a hint of something else there that I can't describe but I wouldn't say rum.
T: Whoa! It starts almost spicy but then you get hit with this boozy peach flavor while the spice lingers. While some beers have more depth and buried flavors, these are all front and center. I'm caught off-guard every time I take a sip.
F: Medium light body, crisp. Great carbonation.

I drink a lot of wild ales and have had lots of Ale Apothecary beers and I've never had anything like this. This is really an assault on your taste buds and the impressive part is that somehow it works. The rush of spice from the rum barrel on the front doesn't mask the excellent peach flavors. Some AA beers tend to be thicker and a bit more syrupy but this is light and refreshing. More than just drinking a beer, this is an experience. Well done.

750ml bottle, served in a teku glass.

Pours a vibrant lighter yellow body, hazy and cloudy, one finger white head with good retention time and thin collar, no film and not much lacing. Smells of lemon, a bit of vinegar and lactic tartness, moderate floral notes, oak, light peach skin, sugar, not much alcohol. Flavour is complex; with lemon, a bit of Bretty citrus, fair amount of floral notes, more but still mild peach skin than in the nose, a bit of sugar but not quite clear rum flavour, oak, minerals. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit on the lighter side, effervescent and crisp, refreshing. Overall, a very tasty, relatively unique AWA that I felt holds up against some of the big names out there. It has a different profile with a decent bit of fruit in it, but even that is a bit different in a good way.

Poured from an unmarked bottled purchased at the brewery into two Ake Apothecary snifters. Pours a golden yellow. Smells funky with light peach notes and rum notes. Tastes starts off spicy and finishes with sweet peach. The right amount of tartness. Has a great mouthfeel with incredible bubbles. Leaves you wanting more. I don't give this 5 rating lightly however this beer stood up to my expectations.
