A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice oily black hue with a thin wispy head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Aromas of nice bourbon notes, decent cinnamon notes. Nice light woody notes, good soft chocolate. No pine really either. Nice tartness.
T - Taste is absurdly sour. Damn those pine needles! More sour than sucking on a lemon. Not really any chocolate, the cinnamon is incredibly faint with more faint barrel notes. Tastes more like lemonade than anything.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, rather thin. Very tart.
O - Overall this beer was on level with an Upland sour as far as acid level goes. Still, not that bad.

Wtf is this beer rudzud!
No head, dark black porter color, hint of light sneaking through.
Nose brings mild porter notes, touch of dark malt, with nice cinnamon notes, into sour lacto funk, little sour fruity note, light cherry wood like barrel notes, bourbon flashes, nice vanilla oak.
Taste is incredibly sour, tart lacto, decent acidity, flemmy tartness and funk, little sour fruity thing almost sour plum. Faint bourbon notes, with vanilla oak, with mild cinnamon bark on the background. No malt really, and no pine. Finish flemmy tart little acidic, lingering tart sour lemonade and touch of vanilla pudding or something late, also flash of cinnamon.
Mouth is lighter bod, very little carb, acidic and super sour, flemmy.
Overall decent, but very little malt although that's probably a good thing, no pine either thankfully, but still a decent sour.

Clashing cinnamon spices and pine needles in a sour porter-like mixture.

Acidic with a greasy texture on the palate. Not a pleasant beer to try and not for the faint of heart.

This is execessively sour like a poor upland batch, but very oily sour. Likely one of the worst sours I have had this year. Smells nice but then mouth puckering misery

Oily and sour. Great aroma, but SMACK! This one is hard to drink. Very acidic palette burner. Astringent to the max. Does not taste like Xmas.

Thanks to Brent for sharing this one at Oneinchaway's tasting.
Pours an opaque super dark brown with a foamy bone head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, dark fruit, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour cocoa powder, char, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that has an interesting mix of sour and porter qualities that are slightly better in the taste to me.
