I was skeptical walking into this one. A S'more Stout? *scoffs* Plus I tend to prefer imperial stouts to traditional ones. It was a recommendation from a BevMo! employee who happens to know my taste in beer very well so I had to trust his opinion.

A: I drank it from the bottle friends, it looks like the freaking picture. I gave them a high mark on this because of the eco-friendly packaging, which happens to be lighter, shatter-proof, fully opaque(prevents UV from harming the beer), and contains a food-grade liner so the metal doesn't effect the flavor.
S: Sweet, malty, caramel, small chocolate.
T: Fucking delicious. I was honestly surprised by how good this beer was. Chocolatey, malty, little bit sweet. These words don't do the balance of this beer justice.
M: With an ABV of 7.7, it truly drinks more like an imperial which was a plus for me. Thicker than your average stout, but not quite syrupy yet. Does not leave a sticky residue on the side of the bottle.
O: Base Camp impressed me. Definitely worth a try by anyone who loves stouts. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Cheers.

Got on trade! Served at 8deg C in a tulip glass

A- Opens well and pours a 1" high brown head that lasts for nearly 5mins before film out. Vey dark brown colour.

S- Not a lot here. What is there is metallic

T- Coco galore. So much chocolate it's amazing. No marshmallows to be found though. Thought this was a s'more? No matter as it must have been replaced by the coffee flavor. Lots of coffee. Kind of lopsided brew. Roasted malt overbears at the end.

M- Creamy and rich going down. The coco leaves a chalkiness in the mouth that is not desirable.

O- Not bad brew. Gets on you after the first half. Chocolate overload. Nice to try but will not buy.

Food Pairing

What else would you pair this brew with? This nice brew went well with....... Yup! You guessed it! S'mores! Get your chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers on the bon fire!

Enjoy

I had this beer on tap at the brewery. They toast a marshmallow on the glass and it is AMAZING. Bottle may be different, but on tap this is a great offering from a tiny brewer.

Appearance is standard but the presentation is incredible.

Taste is exactly like a campfire.

Feel is a great olfactory and taste experience. If you have the opportunity I suggest it
